Easy to slip on, does the job well.
I have always had problems injuring my shins and not even realizing it. I am 69 years old and my shins are ridiculously scarred and usually have more than one scab. I had a hard time finding something that wasn't made for temporary use during soccer games, etc., but finally I found these. The price is for a pair, and they slipped on comfortably. They are well padded and I plan to wear them everyday. I wear the Extra Large size because I have an 18-1/2" calf circumference. I would have given this five stars, but I think they should have come with Velcro straps to hold them in place rather than having to slip your feet through them, but perhaps I'm being unfair. Anyway, this was the right product for me.

Basic type (old school) shin pads
Not as snazzy as those uber lightweight shield-style shin guards. But, it took the guesswork out of wondering if it would conform to my adult size meaty calf and shin. The Adidas Ghost (L) might fit a large dog. I got an XL and it fits around my 18" calf just fine. The length is 12.75" which is from the bottom of my kneecap to an inch above my instep. I can live with that. Pad width is 6.25" at the top, tapering to 5" at the bottom. I don't find anything to be critical about. It's a great buy and I'm happy! '''

Think these will work!
I have actually ordered these for a reason other than a typical use. I have had several leg surgeries with skin grafts so was trying to find something to cover those areas. My neighbor has two little Dashunds who love to jump/claw at my leg & can't take the risk of them opening these areas. Sooooooo, I ordered a set of these which should totally protect my leg from the possible damage the little darlin's could do with their nails. A win/win situation for all!

Great pads
My sons participate in many martial arts tournaments across the states. Good chin pads are a necessity. I recommend these pads.

When box jumps come up in a WOD, these go on! No more ER visits for this guy
I"ve gashed my shins open many times now doing box jumps. No More! These do the trick. Had em 3 months and I've crashed twice with these on and they did they're job> They are light and comfortable too!

Provides about as much padding/protection as a couple cottonballs taped to your shins
These might protect you from something. maybe the bite of a mini poodle. or a karate chop by an infant. Maybe. But these would fair poorly as protection by a 5 year old, much less an adult size person

Nice fit. Does the job

Got it for Judo
Fits great. My shins were killing me due to my teammates horrible ashi-waza (Or maybe I was just a bad Uke?!) Either way, this has helped out a lot and they are very comfortable to train in.
