Best HTPC (or media pc) purchase I have made
First off, works out of the box with Ubuntu Linux. I have done nothing to configure it. Calibrates all on it's own in about 5 seconds whenever I turn it on. I can advance music and change volume using the gestures as described for the product.I previously was using the Logitech Wireless Trackball which I LOVE but had a really poor RF range. I mean like problems even at 6 ft. My mouse experience is now not only frustration free but feels very cool.It did take about a day to get used to how to use it. People will not instantly get it, but you can begin moving naturally very quickly. I am still a bit faster with my trackball but had been using it for years and also was slower if you count all the missed clicks. No such trouble with the range on this thing. Works perfectly all the time. No missed clicks or lag. Very VERY accurate as a pointer. It is not hard to click on some very small buttons or close boxes. I do not see the need for a lock cursor position some people have missed from migrating away from gyration. I have almost no trouble clicking on exactly what I want when I want and I have logged less than 40 hours on this thing.I will say that the buttons could be raised a bit more. I have no trouble using the down scroll without looking, but up is harder. Getting the hang of that though too. I use the click more than the slide and scroll aspect of it. I find the rocker more reliably scrolls. It KINDA has that scrolls too fast problem in Linux...but not bad. However, I just use the rocker action of the scroll button most times. as far as the back button (which will lock the cursor in place if you hold for 2 seconds) I don't use it much, but if I did, it's not very easy to distinguish by touch. Neither are the volume or play/pause buttons. However, I feel like those are 'extra' anyway and I am pretty confident I am learning where they are over time. I will not at all be surprised if I don't notice it in a few months and use them without looking. As for the right and left mouse buttons. No trouble there. Pretty well placed, don't have to look and yes, use your thumb to click. Much more like a T.V. remote. The construction is quality, but it does feel a little light in my hand. I am a 200 lb guy with big hands so I like solid things. This is probably a little more comfortable for the ladies or kids, but by no means is it a big hinderance for a guy. Again, think TV remote kind of feel. The battery life could be a little longer, but can last a whole day on no trouble with heavy use. I like that you can turn it off when it's going to sit and that greatly extends time between charges. Can't say it's much trouble to charge it though. They provide a nice stable stand and it looks slick there glowing and charging. Doesn't take long to recharge either. The glow is cool, especially for the HTPC as you can really make use of it in the dark...plus it just looks cool. :) I especially like that the vibrations in the floor as I approach it cause it to light up, much like my Logitech Harmony remote for the TV. Yes, my shiny devices, your master is coming. ;)Personally, with the radio range, accuracy, and ergonomics, I cannot see a better option for a media pc like I have. A Bluetooth trackball from Logitech would probably have it beat, but they refuse to make one and also, this thing has less of a footprint on your couch space. In short, buy it...you won't be sorry. Got mine from one of the lesser known stores on Amazon for about 80. No trouble with it at all.

Not worth the money
I got my mouse a couple of days ago and was initially very excited. It looks great. The problem is that I was expecting it to function well when using it off of the desk. This wasn't the case. It is hard to use in the air and that was my main reason for buying it. As a regular desk mouse it works well but no better than any other mouse. The extra buttons can be reassigned but the placement and size of them makes them difficult to use. If the cost were more reasonable it might be OK for some people. But for me it was a waste of money.

Airmouse review
This mouse is great. It is sleek, easy to use and has a long range. You dont have to be right in front of the laptop or television, Ive used mine while standing 20 feet away and it performed wonderfully. He design is very nice and the battery life is long. Ive used mine for 3 days on one charge. My only complaint is that the arrow does not stay centered, it veers to the right or left while in use preventing the user fom clicking the item they want unless they recenter the arrow which I did by pointing the mouse at the arrow and clicking then recentering it for use. Their are times when its not noticeable but others when it definately is which is why I could not give this product 5 stars. Overall this is a great product but for the money their are better choices. If you have the money then I suggest giving this mouse a try.

It's the noisest mouse you'll ever use
The mouse works OK as a desktop mouse. There are definitely better ones on the market. Where it wants to shine is as a remote control replacement, or 'in air' mouse for presentations. While drawing on a powerpoint is decent, the functionality of the mouse is not tied in close enough with PPT to make the transition from writing to moving around in slides seemless. The most annoying feature is that when you scroll up or down; or just use the touch slider it clicks quite loudly. The clicking is annoying, the mouse seems to have its own speaker; and according to logitech - you cannot disable this sound. I found myself so annoyed with this sound, I went back to the Microsoft presenter mouse.
