More Aliens, More Action, and a new Larger Universe
The final struggle has started and the Kobani launch a lighting fast raid in an effort to make sure that they keep their adopted homeworld safe. The Kobani have launched their military might in a blitz offensive hoping to use a new technology that removes the Krall's ability to control their highest technology from their war machine. They take the fight to K1 and the other battlefields in PU controlled space. As soon as the Kobani land on K1 they are off to make sure the Krall can never threaten them again. Their strategy now resting on this single campaign putting their lives and the safety of their families and allies on a "win or die" campaign because if they don't stop the Krall now then Tor Gatrol Telour will come to destroy them.Mirikami Not only needs this blitz to continue throughout the Krall empire making sure that this time the denial list propagates and throws the Krall back to their barbarism days, the Kobani have now been betrayed at the highest level of the PU. The new Federation needs the PU on their side because they don't have the depth to fight two sides at once. Somehow the Kobani and their allies need to find a way to make sure the PU start to see the Kobani as their saviors rather than the genetic bogeyman in their past. But before the Koabni can consolidate their position an old enemy of the Olt'kitapi who view the Krall defeat as a fluke come to demand the complete surrender and subjugation to the Thandol Empire. The original species that the Krall were positioned to counter. The Thandol empire is as old as the Raspani and may be on par with the Ol'kitapi technologically. Tet and Maggie better bring their A-game because one wrong move will leave their fledgling empire between the hammer and the anvil.|~~|~~|~~|~~|~~|~~|I love the Kobani. The culture that has been created here from an indie author is great and the fact that we the readers have been able to show enough interest and dedication to reach book 5 is amazing. As seemed obvious from how book 4 ends we see the wrap-up of the Krall threat with the Denial chips and the Kobani offensive. The Kobani deal with the Krall and then move to consolidate and set themselves up for the future they envision. Our favorite characters keep growing and growing their roles to keep their Federation alive.I do think that the book could have spent a little more time in editing but I can't complain about any process that lets the readers get their hands on a book faster.Gallandro

FANTASTIC! (And Book 6 is now available on Audible!)
In Book 5 of the series, Steve Bennett takes us to an whole new level of strange alien fun time! (Hang on to your support post!)Everything the Kobani have learned and achieved in the 20 plus years since the start of the Krall invasion is finally turned on their enemy. With the technical support of their alien friends on Haven, the Kobani have added even more enhancements, and have a far great number of new Kobani in their ranks, as they desperately pursue the Krall and their deadliest weapon yet, through human space in a frantic effort to save the human home world: EARTH!And just when the Kobani thought it might be safe to go home and start a Federation of their own, new neighbors come to call . . . and they're not nice guys! The action is non-stop, the aliens are stranger than ever, and it ends with a very surprising "BANG!" (Every time I read this book I think it's my favorite in the series -- but that's how I feel about all of the books!)HEY KOBAN FANS!!!: Book 6 is hot off production and should be cleared for Audible purchase by November 15th -- still with Eric Michael Summerer as the narrator!I. CAN. NOT. WAIT!I -- HIGHLY RECOMMEND! -- the whole series!

Koban #5
This is book 5 of the Koban series and the end of the Krall cycle. The Kobani have found the secret to defeating their Krall enemies with Denial chips and, in a major battle over and on K1, break the Krall's strongest fleet. The cleanup will take many years, but the Krall threat to humanity is defeated. In an exciting PR event, the Kobani break the news about this and the Kobani's existence in the PU capital on Earth. So, no more worries, right?Wrong! While the Kobani and their alien allies ponder their future and discuss career possibilities, a new threat is rising. The new Galactic Federation will face a threat to not just humans, but all species in the Orion Spur. Can the GF met this new, yet very old, threat to its existence? What other surprises will Tet, Maggi, and their friends and family find in this changed universe?I really enjoy this series and recommend it to others. The editing is better with much fewer issues, although sometimes the number of things and years are inconsistent (Krall served their masters for one thousand or three thousand years before revolting?). One problem I have with this series is that the blurb tends to give away too much of the story. If you have read the others, this one will continue to please and excite you. Yeaahh!!

Magnificent!
This book, along with the others in the series, was magnificent! Mr. Bennett perfectly describes a world that you can get lost in - well not lost, but you can feel the heavy gravity on Koban, he let's you see the teal colored wild life and share the angst of those that find themselves rejected because they modified themselves to win a war for humanity. Other reviewers focus on editing and grammar, while interestingly writing reviews that suffer from much worse flaws! Once I'm in a story, I don't need every character's thoughts and speech correctly spelled. My mind is perfectly capable of the transition and nothing in the Koban series throws you out of the story.A Federation Forged in Fire find the Kobani's facing a new threat as they finally begin to secure the Federation with the downfall of the Krall. I was incredibly sad for book 5 to end and hope that Mr. Bennett is ready with #6 soon.

Very nice addition to series
When I ordered this paperback I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. I was expecting the usual sort of paper back size wise and paper quality. This paperback is quite a bit bigger than normal paperbacks. It is a similar size to a traditional hardback book. The quality of the paper used for the pages is also of a much higher quality compared to normal paperbacks. It is smooth with a high gsm which makes reading so much nicer. The story of this book continues straight on from where the previous book in the series finished. A lot of story arc’s are tied up in this book which I won’t spoil here.Overall a very nice addition to the Koban series, and a surprisingly good paperback copy to go with it.

Another well written Stephen Bennett book.
Well the latest iteration in the Kobani Saga has hit my kindle. The book starts off exactly where the cliff hanger from the last one left off. Kind of a little surprised at how quickly the enemy are rolled over. But to be fair, the method they use, would do, just that. The author then has us drop into the capital of the Human Empire. where Mr Bennett shows his flair for a good story regards the President and the Kobani. A little house keeping is then the order of the day, before the inhabitants of a distant colony are given 4 knocks on the door by their next door neighbours pet Gorilla before it bashes his way in uttering " Here's Johnny!".The reaction to the above, is Mr Bennett of old,(I love how Mirikami uses his mind to fight the enemy) Whilst this book may not be exciting for some as his previous books,(I'll admit a little drawn out in places) he has at least taken the time to lay down the foundations for what looks set to be another exciting sets of books.

Bravo, you have given me many enjoyable evenings.
I have just finished this book and, since I left a review for the first one, I thought it would be rude not to review the final one (at this time). I have really enjoyed the books - although in this one I was a little worried about where the planet full of Sheiks was going as it felt more like a ideological point being made than an interesting departure from the main plot. There were more spelling and grammar errors in this book than the first four, but did little to detract from my enjoyment. I also commend the length of these books as Kindle offerings are often short but each of these books have satisfied even my voracious reading.

Better than a Michelin 4 star digital meal READ THISY
Another epic novel in this series. Stands alongside the science fiction greats. One of the few who can write a series that just gets better. A definitely great digital meal made from space opera, fast adventure, a little romance and character development, with heaps of science faction for taste. Cannot wait for the next novel. Read this and I guarantee you will wait with me. 👽😄🚀

The continuation of Koban into an expanding galactic space
For those than enjoy the Koban series this one will open the scenarios wide for further episodes. At least for a bit not everything goes their way and new galactic powers emerge to challenge the super humans.
