Easy to use, it releases its probe smoothly. Clear, large numbers make the readout quick to see even at a glance. I ordered this particular thermometer to add to a grill basket I am putting together for a raffle. I am confident in its benefits, ease of use and that it does make a difference when cooking. We use it for grilling meats and other items on either the Blackstone grill or our Pellet grill. it is simple, easy to use, and store. The battery is long-lasting and the quality is fantastic. Easy to use for beginners or advanced grillers. It is a great value for the money particularly for those just getting started in the grilling game. It is small and portable so I store it in my drawer in a quart size Ziploc bag and take it with us camping so it packs well. My favorite aspect of this thermometer is that it automatically turns on when unfolded and automatically turns off when folded back up. I highly recommend this product.

I’ve been using this ThermoPro probe for the last few months and have been really satisfied with its temperature accuracy, reliability and user friendliness. The magnet attachment is great as I keep it stuck to my fridge for quick use. Swing the probe open and it automatically turns on and the display automatically rotates the viewing angle depending on orientation so it is easily readable. The backlight is great for when I am smoking food at night. It’s just a simple user friendly probe that has been very reliable, and at what I consider a great price point for the solid quality I have received from ThermoPro’s products.

I broke my previous model of this device and I bought this to replace the broken one. It works okay, with a few nice upgrades: * The thingy comes on when you "open" the metal wand that you stick into the thing you're checking * The backlight comes on by default * It can withstand light cleaning (I wouldn't soak it in water, but you can quickly rinse it or wipe it down with a soapy sponge to get rid of any grease) The thing that I didn't like was that it felt "slow" when measuring a temperature. It could just be that I forget the speed of the previous version of this product. If you are measuring something hot in the oven, you will likely be uncomfortable at the heat while you wait for the probe to figure out the temperature. Temperature accuracy is good. It works well. It's "techy" looking and that's fine. But it's really easier to use than the design implies. The thermometer turns off automatically when you snap the probe back into place.

The power button ultimately failed on the old reader. This model automatically turns on when you unlatch the probe. The time-out feature and auto on when picked up is wonderful. No need to wipe the probe before latching it back in the slot. I find the Temps to read accurately, but the instructions on how to calibrate it over time is handy.
