wraps things up but leaves enough questions for follow-up series
This is the final book in this series. The other first 4 books focus on four best friends who spend the summer before their senior year in high school apart - all abroad and secretly learning of their special affinities with a particular element, while the 5th book introduces a new character. In this last installment, the original four are reunited at the end of the summer to share their experiences, with the newest elemental introducing herself to enlist them into a what’s billed as a humanitarian project. When things turn out to be nothing as they seemed, the girls must come together to use their talents to protect their hometown from a destructive force. This is the long-awaited reunion! I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t a better explanation of why these particular talents developed in girls who were friends. Did their latent abilities bring them together? The adversary in this book is a lot more fantastical than anything the girls faced in the previous books. There are a few surprises, and while this is the end of this series, there will be other series spun-off from this one. Can’t wait to start them!

Wow... Just... WOW.
Been looking forward to reading this since the author announced it. This is the end of the Elementals Origins series by A.L. Knorr, but thankfully that's just the start of this compelling series. We've read the individual stories of the four friends from high school who discover they each have elemental powers over one summer vacation, and we were promised a novel rejoining the four girls as they return from vacation and try to resume their lives. But we took a slight detour to introduce Petra in her own story, and ever since I've been wondering where we'd wind up.Well, the final novel in Origins is here, and Ms Knorr has crafted a doozy. It's a fast moving tale, starting with the long-promised reunion at The Sleepover and barrelling through from there. Threads from Perta's story weave themselves into a corporate entity that presents itself as beneficial but are they really ever in these things? And it all winds up in a coupe de grace with the town of Saltford hanging in the balance.Would not have expected this from the way the girls' story began. Couldn't put the book down, and the author leaves me wanting more.

Brilliantly entertaining!
Even if you haven't read the individual books, the author expertly gave just enough to bring you up to speed and not too much to bore those that already read through each of the girls' stories. I love the interaction between the friends, the way Petra was incorporated into an existing close inner circle, but also how each girl kept their individualism and showcases their strengths. The book started off with a fun-filled get together but picked up speed with lots of action, danger and showcasing very creative use of elemental magic. It was a real page turner with unexpected revelations towards the end which had me sitting up straighter and biting my nails (okay, if I was a nail biter I would've, seriously).A.L. Knorr did an expert job telling an amazing story that will keep you spellbound. A book I can recommend, but to enjoy the full pleasure of the authors' genius storytelling, read the individual elemental books too! You will not be disappointed.

Elemental Origins series comes to a smashing finale.
What do you do when you have the power of an elemental and it isn't enough? When you have friends who have the other three elements and it isn't enough? You will find one solution here in this fast paces conclusion to A L Knorr's Elemental Origins series. This book segways from the events of 5 and then goes into the highly anticipated "guess what happened to me this summer". The excitement mounts as the heroens find a world changing project that only they can do, but things aren't always as they seem and all hell breaks out.Knorr's writing is wonderful and she has created some unforgettable characters. Now that we know who they are. it will be fun to follow them to see where they go in follow up novels.Books 1 - 4 can be read in any order, and book 6 is mostly a continuation of 5. So I would recommend reading the first 4 , then 5 and 6.I would give this more stars as it earns my rare, re-read award!

The end or what? She says she has more.coming.
If anything these books get better as we get to the end of this series. And A.L. Knorr (Abby) keeps making new stories for her characters, of the same high quality. Great page turner, stay up all night stories. I can't believe she just started 1 year ago. She sure does not look 40.Abby, please keep them coming. I can't wait for Surfacing: A Water Novel.OK probably should not leave out the whole Elemental series and the O-rice-ran: Kacy series. All were great and very re-readable.

Holy Elemental Awesomeness!😁❤😍😙
Wow. This book was spectacular. Amazing. Incredible. I can't find enough words to describe it. Reading about Targa,Saxony,Georjayna,Akiko and Petra together was awesome. And their roles in the end was just amazing. I love that each of them had "screen time" and shone brilliantly. These girls were powerful individuals by themselves but it was amazing how they worked together. I love this series and wish it didn't end. Am positive i'll reread all six books again. A.L, u outdid yourself this time. I loved the ending with Akiko. U got a spin off in mind??? Am hopeful.....

Very good read
The girls tell their story to each other. Akiko is not an elemental, but she's one of them. Petra finds out some devastating news from Jessie, who came all the way to America to find her. The news is not good. A demon is released, the town is crushed and one friend is lost.I enjoyed this story as it encompasses feelings, lies and destruction. It gives the message that love is stronger than evil.Read on my friends

OMG!
I very nearly quit reading this book somewhere around the middle. I thought the story was going in a predictable path and was pretty upset about that, thinking the author was selling out in the last book. I even skimmed through a couple of chapters to see if the story remained in the same vein. Oh no, my friends, there is a twist I never saw coming! I enjoyed these books and plan on reading more written by this author.

Great ending to the series
I'm a fan of all the books in this series, especially those about the water elementals and sirens, but this is easily as good as my favorite. As you can guess from the cover, all the girls finally get together to share their stories. The moment they do, mayhem ensues. Highly recommended for anyone who liked even a single one of the earlier stories because all the girls shine in this. Each elemental has a job to do in this book, and all shine.

You must read The Elemental Origins Series
I really enjoyed this series, the characters, the structure and the stories. Well written and with believable relationships. I really warmed to the 4 central characters and now want to be a mermaid!! All the first five books work individually and come together well in the final book. Definitely want to read more by A.L. Knorr, the most enjoyable fantasy novels I have read in a long time.

A brilliant series - I’m eager for more!
I’ve read the series from Born of Water through to Elementals. Each book was fascinating and kept me hooked to the end. A nice blend of mystery and mythical. I’ve recommended the series to friends and they are enjoying it just as much as I have.

Great story, couldn't put my Kindle down.
I do recommend this fantasy tale to all those who love stories, fantasy and incredible characters....you have to read it to relate to the different characters and their mission. Kept be up late for several evenings.

Disappointing
Pretty anticlimactic. A real let down after the individual novels, felt rushed and unable to connect with any of the characters which was a real disappointment after feeling so ensconced in the previous books.
