ASICSWomen's GT-1000 7 Running Shoes

I have bad feet and ankles and have to get a certain kind of shoe. This gets difficult, finding one in a color I like but also great quality. Asics is generally a go to because of this and this is one of my favorite colors. I am so happy they fit and are comfy! They have removable inserts so I can put in my custom ones and are very supportive. My podiatrist would approve!

Had theses shoes for a long lasted me a while

First off, the shoe (to me) seems to be a great price. I don't like to spend much for any shoe, but it's important to me to get the right shoe for walking/jogging, and for overpronation. (I did some research, and supposedly these are great for that- my worst pain is around the joint of the big toes). The color is great, it's well cushioned.. they're pretty narrow, though. As well, I would have preferred they have the loop on the back of the heel, to help with pulling them on and off. (Just my personal preference).I typically wear an 8-8.5 in "every day" shoes, so my last pair of running shoes, I bought an 8.5. I had what I initially thought was plenty of toe room, but it was a smidge on the narrow side, and sometimes my toes would start tingling or go numb. I have switched shoe brands by buying this ASICS. After reading the reviews, I decided I could easily go up to a 9. In fact, the 9 in this shoe is just as narrow (if not even more so) than the 8.5 in the other brand. There is plenty of room for my toes, but because it is a 9, I feel like the padding under the metatarsal bones is not quite in the right place. I've been breaking my shoes in with several 5K walks, and near the last mile and a half, I start getting a deep ache in between the middle toes. I'm going to give it some time, and hope that it's not related to the shoe.

This is my second pair (first pair bought at DSW). I hate shoe shopping because my foot is so narrow. I should probably buy special A or AA shoes but that's difficult and rarely fashionable lol! I've just learned to deal with a little wiggle room in my shoes. But, these have been great and truly hold and support my foot. I use them for walking and general wear (no/limited running). When I step, I lift my toes more than the average person apparently because I end up with a hole at the big toe spot - this took about a 10-12 months to appear in the first pair of these I had, which is better than the 6 months it took in my old pair of Nike. If you have a narrow foot, and want a stylish pair, I 100% recommend these! Oh, I typically wear an 8.5 or 9 in tennis shoes and got the 9 in these - 8.5 was way too small.

Yes the first thing you notice on these shoes is that the coral color is more of a highlighter orange, so I ordered grey shoestrings to try and tone it down a bit. The fit is great, I could wear them right out of the box, no problem, very comfortable, I had purchased this very same model of shoe at dsw before the pandemic, so I thought since I needed a new pair of running shoes, and I can’t go to the store to try them on, it was a safe bet to order on line if I already know how they fit, good call. As far as the black specs in the white part, i would have not even noticed them had I not read about them on here, both my new ones and the ones I got at dsw have a few of them, so it must just be the material there using, certainly no big deal at all to me anyway.

After a small stress injury from running on the treadmill caused me to visit a physical therapist I was told I had a problem overpronating. They gave me exercises and recommended I get new shoes while mentioning the ASICS brand. My first response was “These are way too expensive.” but after continuing to visit the gym with a growing desire for higher impact exercises than the elliptical I caved and bought these. If you have other foot issues, I would recommend checking the ASICS website and cross referencing prices on Amazon.After working with them for a few weeks I can definitely say I notice a difference while I work out and after I work out. They are actually MAKING my arches rise and my outer foot take a lot of the pressure without me even noticing. They’re a miracle and I’m happy I didn’t try to get inserts form a doctor instead.I took the reviews to heart and bought a pair a half size bigger than I normally would and they’re still a bit snug but manageable because I wear thin socks. They’re also much more lightweight than they look.I usually am opposed to wearing sneakers at all (I’m not into the sporty look) but they are more subtle and less boxy than any other sneakers I’ve ever owned! I would absolutely recommend to anyone!!

I am very rough on my shoes, I'm used to walking 3 to 5 miles around campus both in high school and college. Usually my shoes last me about 6 months at the absolute maximum. I have plantar fasciitis, and before I bought these shoes, even with inserts, I had ankle swelling and foot pain I even went to the hospital thinking I'd hurt my foot due to swelling. I was at a loss at what to purchase when I happened to see the overpronation on the asics chart. On a whim I decided to try these based on the comments my friends made about my walking patterns from elementary school. I didn't need plantar fasciitis inserts for my first 3 months of wear, no ankle swelling at any point. Once I needed inserts, they fit perfectly in the shoe. I've worn my first pair for 11 months, and my new pair just arrived today. I cannot recommend these enough.

They're very comfortable and fit as expected. The coral colour pictured online is more of a bright neon orange in real life, as others have mentioned. I don't mind it, I find they look pretty sporty. There are several black flecks (they look like ink spots) that only appear on the inside white strip of the shoes, and none on the outside of either shoe.

I like how they fit. I am going to use them for walking .
