I checked this book out of the library before I bought it, tried a couple of recipes which I liked, but felt I was working in the dark sometimes without pictures. After purchasing the book, I discovered some positives and some negatives. I still would like more pictures of food and less pictures of beautiful people. It seemed like there was space on the page, so was cost an issue? Although she describes how she sets a table, it would also have been nice to have pictures of how she set up the entire buffet or table for her parties other than the children's party and a tiny picture of a brunch table.I like her little tips and ideas for parties, although she clearly is entertaining a wealthier group of people than I do. I can't imagine anyone I know having a cigar party for men.Most of the recipes were pretty basic but there were some fresh ideas. I also found at least one recipe where a crucial ingredient was unavailable anyplace in my Chicago suburban stores, UNSWEETENED Condensed Milk. Even looked it up online - could not find it anyplace. I also object to buying an ingredient that I will use only one time for one recipe and then having it sit on my shelf until it expires - Torani vanilla syrup - and have to go to a special store to purchase it.It is a book that is more than a recipe book in the same vein as a Martha Stewart entertaining book, but without as many recipes and virtually no pictures of table settings. Martha does not have to worry.

Great little idea book. I have the kindle version. Bright and cheerful. Nice to have.

fun ideas for parties . Also ideas for last minute guest and recipes using your pantry items and decorating ideas.

The title of the book says it all. Not only does does Lulu make entertaining EASY, but the recipes are SIMPLE to follow, STYLISH in presentation but above all absolutely delicious. The steak marinade will become my go-to marinade. I made it Saturday night to rave reviews. We entertain quite frequently and the book provides some great ideas. I especially love the "Cheat Sheet" in the back. She makes you think of things before the party and not during it. A MUST for anyone who entertains or is ready to start entertaining. I will be giving this book as housewarming presents, for bridal showers and hostess gifts for years to come. It is always good to have a signature gift and I have just found mine.

I just received my copy of Lulu Power's book Food to Flowers and I give it a big thumbs up. Her approach is always chic and sophisticated yet approachable and easy for anyone to conquer. She gave me great ideas for my next brunch and daughter's birthday. She brings the classics back with a fresh approach. I see a Martha Stewart/Barefoot Contessa Empire in her future. I have tried two recipes and they were easy and delicious. The book is also beautiful to look at and an easy read, and to top it off I love her personal style and die for all her outfits in the book. Pick it up you won't be disappointed! I have a new food crush.

Dieses Buch ist einfach ein Muss für jeden, der auf der Suche nach leckeren, aber auch simplen Partyrezepten ist.Für die verschiedensten Anlässe (sogar für Kindergeburtstage) gibt es Rezeptvorschläge, die superlecker, aber vor allem auch gut vorzubereiten sind. Für jeden Anlass gibt es auch Dekorationstipps von Lulu. Wenn ich könnte, würde ich noch mehr als fünf Sterne geben :-)))
