An absolute deal. I have become disabled and can't afford a groomer anymore for my babies. I took up learning to groom my babies. This set is great!More affordable than most, with the same sharpness and easy to use kit as other more expensive kits.Love the left or right hand use. It's a total package for a great price! You can't go wrong.Just a little story I have. I was in a situation where I needed a pair of shears to cut window screen. The closest thing to me was this kit. I grabbed a pair that I use the least. Only because I've come to love the curved pairs.It cut that window screen like it was going through soft butter. I was in shock!I made a great decision in purchasing this kit. You'll see that too after you get the kit home and give it a try for yourself.The kit comes with 3 pairs of scissors. One left curve with a place for your thumb. (Which I absolutely love!) One right curve with the same thumb placement. One straight pair. Again with the thumb placement. They all have rubber stops. Which also makes them silent with no click when you squeeze them closed to cut.The kit also comes with a straight comb.The only con I think if the kit would have come with a half moon type curved comb, it would have been a complete set.

We have a toy Yorkie and a toy Pom. It was costing me a fortune to get them clipped every two months. I had clippers and I ordered this scissor set (same ones my groomer uses). I watched grooming videos on You Tube. I couldn't be more pleased...they are well made, extremely sharp and do a great job on our puppies. Now I just take them in to get their nails/feet done...something I may attempt in future. Plus, in the summer heat, I have been trimming them every two weeks..keeping much cooler. They actually look like a professional job. I wish I had done all this years ago! Great set...can't go wrong for the price...love the color and nice case also.

I needed some shears to hold me over as I got onto my feet as a professional groomer after I completed school. I was a little wary of buying these with the abundance of negative comments but I decided to give them a try anyway. I figured I'd be able to return them if anything went wrong.They do exactly what I expected them to do. I've been using them for two weeks and I haven't really noticed any difference in cuts. They must've been better than factory sharpened because I managed to get a pretty sizeable cut on my finger from them without even realising it. The purple didn't come chipped and the case is still holding up. I dropped my straight shears a couple of times and they're still in one piece.For the price I paid, I am satisfied with my purchase. I can update this review when they finally need to be sharpened as a benchmark for anyone who is considering making this purchase.4/10/16 (Update)I'm somewhat sure it's time for them to be sharpened, the straights are bending hair in the middle of the blade and both curves are duller near the tips. I think I've had them for about a month and a half so for the price I'm not disappointed. I wonder if they'll last longer after they've been professionally sharpened though.06/08/16So they were professionally sharpened about a week and a half after the last review. As of now all of them are running strong, except my right curves. Even after having them sharpened they still bent hair in the middle, and tightening them helped absolutely nothing. I still stand by my original 4 star review. It's much cheaper to have to replace the one after a few months than it is to have had to replace all. I'm probably going to have to get them sharpened sometime within the next month. So with about 5 - 7 dogs 5 days out of the week, they lasted about 3 months after being professionally sharpened. If I had to go back in time, I would probably buy this set again...though maybe in a different color.

Great deal for the quality. Take them to a professional sharpener and they will be much better! Definitely worth what I paid for them. I'm so happy to have 4 different scissors that are all individually useful. The key makes adjusting the tension very easy, the cloth is a nice added touch for keeping them clean. I love the case that they come in too. I wanted a case because I was sick of my scissors moving in my tool box during mobile trips, etc. The case keeps my scissors secure so they don't bash into anything, and while I'm grooming, it's great to slide them back in place in between scissor changes. Small and compact case makes keeping the scissors off the table, and on a counter space or even the stool much easier. I would recommend if you're just starting & can't dish out $250+ For a single pair of high quality Japanese steel shears, or if you're looking for a backup pair of decent quality scissors while your individual shears are at the sharpeners.*All of this being said, if the price were higher, I would rate them a 4, because they're not the best quality, but definitely worth the price, even better once sharpened, but having to do that extra step costs money*

Great set of scissors but not to sharp had to have them sharpened.

I had bought a pair of curved scissors about 2 years ago for my personal dogs and they have been great. I recently decided to start my own bathing/grooming business and bought a very similar pack to this from another seller and they broke apart in the first use. So I went and searched for “Lilly’s Pet” since that’s what was on my original first pair and holy cow could you feel the difference between the 2. Although they looked the exact same as the cheaper set these are far more superior. Just the weight and feel of them speaks volumes. The cutting is undeniably fantastic. If these things last me a long time I will certainly be back to buy more.
