Great mic, use it with the Rode VLXR+ to plug into my mixer
This is a really nice mic. The sound quality is very good and I use it with a Rode VLXR+ to plug into my mixer or audio interface which provides phantom power, to convert it to plug in power for the Rodelink lav. The cable is only long enough to give you a couple extra feet after feeding it through your shirt, but you can plug the VXLR+ into an XLR cable to give you more length. The mic does work without plug in power but it is VERY quiet and turning it up to acceptable levels causes a lot of noise.

Excellent lav mic
Love it. Use it with my Zoom F2 recorder. Might also use it now with the DJI Wireless Mic 2 that came with the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. Using the wireless mic capability along with a lav plugged in to it makes a much more discrete wireless system than having a large box hanging off of your collar. It’s Rode so it’s well made and made in Australia. Thumbs up

This mic saved my entire shoot.
I just bought the Rode Pro wireless for a big shoot, and BOTH of the mics that came included BROKE BEFORE COULD EVEN USE THEM!!! The way too thin wire leading to them broke, and that's two for two. It was only through my genius audio guy that he realized that the brand-new mics were no good from the start, and had he not brought a lav mic of his own, this one, the entire session would have been for nothing!! So Rode, take heed... if you're going to build reliable gear for pros, you'd better up your game.

Great Cable… juuuuust a locking nut issue.
I really do like these mics as an economical option for mic cables. My biggest qualm is the locking nut isn’t secured to the wire, which means it falls off sometimes and easily gets lost. It would be rad if they sold like a 12 pack of those locking nuts. Then, I’d have zero issues. :)

It works
This microphone is definitely over priced but it works. The cable is where these microphones lack the most, I needed to purchase this because the cord on the previous one was going bad right above the plug on the end of the cord.

It does sound better than a cheap one, yes. But how much better?
The media could not be loaded. This microphone sounds better than the cheap ones you can find on here - but its 10x as expensive. The build quality does feel a lot better - time will tell if it breaks as easily as the cheap-o lav mics do.It also comes with an additional wind filter; a 'dead cat,' as well as a locking plug, should your voice recorder have threads for that. Its no doubt a good microphone and to me, worth the money.Heres a video I made comparing a bunch of microphones, including this one!(Edit, time has told, it never breaks! :):):)

Fixed my crackly original mic problem
I used the new mic today for a livestream after having to deal with the original mic developing a crackly spot where it connected to the body pack for several months and trying to get speakers to place it where it wouldn't pop, it was fantastic to sit back today and listen to this amazing sounding mic and wireless system. I'd even suggest it sounds better than the original. Maybe they've updated it during the last 6 years?
