I really love these magnetivity sets. There is so much scope for the imagination with them. The best part is that they will all work with each other, so you can mix and match sets and create some really expansive worlds.The Safari Rescue set comes with one wood + magnet person, three wood + magnet animals, a plastic vehicle base, six magnetic vehicle pieces, and a sheet of magnetic pop outs used to decorate and be props for your vehicle, person, and animals.The best way that I can think of describing these sets is as a combination of legos and paper dolls.The bus panels tend to shift and fall down if you try to drive it around like a toy car while they are on, which is the reason for my taking a star off of this set (and all of the other vehicle sets that I have reviewed). I am taking two stars off of this set because the vehicle is the main part of the whole set and there is no building to play with as well.The only part about these sets that annoys me is that some of the magnetic pop outs have extra space under the design and wind up covering more of the people than you want. Trimming with sharp scissors solves this, but it takes skill and patience to do it in a way that doesn't hurt the printed image or the way that it is mounted onto the magnet.The magnetic pop outs come out fairly easily, but an adult should probably punch them out, because some of the pieces are more intricate and can wrinkle or tear if not popped out slowly and carefully.

I have a couple of these sets and this one did not impress me as much as the others. The panels are clunky and not as simple as you would expect. The kids do like the set and it certainly sparks their imagination. You get a very basic safari truck and it does roll easily.I think for the price point this could have a bit more to it and the pieces are just a bit clunky to me. I don't know how else to say that but its how I felt. So the girls and I sat down and pulled everything out. Keep in mind if you have other magnet sets these all work together. Once we pulled our other sets out we had way more fun.Its a solid set but better when added to other sets.

Use as a playset or use them on a magnetic surface.Use the two side magnetic panels to create whichever vehicle you choose. If you are in the mood for a Safari Rescue, then it shall be so. If you want a Research Truck, you can make that! Simply use the two sided tiles which use magnetic force to fit into place. Set up your play area and use your figures and magnetic accessories to create your story!I think these are awesome for the 4-5 year old age group! For the older group, I would purchase another set to go with it. The are all compatible with each other. We have a magnetic village! The Safari rescue truck has rolling wheels and is easy to put together with the magnetic panels. Accessories and animals are also magnetic. So they can be placed where the child wants. If you have small children, be aware that small items could be swallowed and magnets, in particular, are a health risk for children. Really cute toy.

My son absolutely loves this magnetic car set. He’s obsessed with animals and magnets, so this set was perfect for him. It came with 39 pieces which include 6 double sided magnetic panels, 28 magnetic accessories, a vehicle, and play figures. This toy has many options you can convert the truck to either a safari truck or a mobile rescue truck. The versatility of this set keeps my son well entertained for a good amount of time. The magnets are made with good quality material and the graphics are very nice. Most important there is no stickers involved in this set. The play figures with stands are sturdy and stand on their own very well. This set helps my son with his fine motor skills because there is a lot of hands on play. It also encourages pretend play and explore his imagination; this toy exceeded my expectation. Another great toy from Melissa & Dough, I highly recommend this education and fun play set.

I love Melissa and Doug toys, but this one was just not our favorite. The sides on the back part of the truck were weird and hard to put up. There were lots of random pieces that really didn’t engage my kids. Not our favorite toy.
