I purchased this hat for my grandson to wear to school for his Frosty the Snowman team. He is nine ( wears a size 11 men's shoe) and has a larger than average head. It fit him perfectly. (It is an Adult one size fits all.) It made his day and he looked really handsome too.

Just as expected

4 out of 5 stars- Could have been a true ace but unfortunately the first one I ordered had a small hole in the back towards the top where the felted material must've been too thin and not uniform in thickness during production. Then, the second I ordered to replace the one with the hole had a cruched area on the top/side of the hat. This damage was not due to shipping (althought there was absolutely no protective packing materials in the box with it) since the box didnt so much as have a dirt mark on it when received. It was obvious the crushing occured before shipment (likely too many hats shoved and stacked on one another?). Besides these flaws, the overal look of tha hat was spot on and looked genuine. The satin ribbon really made the look. Unfortunately it was too small for most of the adults but it was perfect for the kids. I originally bought for my husband to wear at my son's circus birthday since he was dressed as the ringmaster. However; since it didn't fit, he playing it up by holidng it outward with outstretched arms for photos. Then, we added it to the prop box for our photo booth at the party. It was a big hit and held up well with passing thorugh so many hands throughout the day. It's very sturdy for being such an inexpensive option. I'm so pleased with with hat that I would recommend to other folks in need of a children's top hat or a prop. If a top hat is needed for an adult's costume, I would suggest you look elsewhere though as this will be too small. Also, if you need it flawless, look for other options and read reviews to ensure it will arriave to you without holes or creases.

I bought this hat as an accessory for my job at my local county fair, which had the theme of: "The Greatest FAIR on Earth!" (aka a circus theme). My job for the fair (which spans 11 days) is one of two Information Booth people and I am stationed at the Main Gate to the Fair. I got so many compliments!! and that it was perfect with the theme! Definitely one of my best semi-impulse buys here on Amazon! Plus, I like hats...

I'm a little torn about my review because I actually think this is a 5-star product. I'm a costumer and have always needed cheap hats that look authentic for shows. This one is excellent for the price. It looks "real" - unlike the usual cheap felt ones, this one has a satin finish and is slightly stiffer. Felt ones also droop and lose their shape if the wearer sweats, but this one doesn't. Looks like it will hold up well for the run of the show. BUT (and this isn't really a product problem, but a seller problem - but still, other customers should know) the packaging was terrible. It was in this huge box with only a few of those inflated plastic packers, and it was sliding around and not completely secure. There was also no packaging INSIDE the hat helping to keep its shape. It came completely squashed on one side and the dents won't pop back into place. Luckily I was buying it as a base to build on, so I covered that side with decorations and it worked out fine. I was in a time crunch, otherwise I would have exchanged it.

The hat was amazing, very sturdy and perfect for my plan, just was very small and since it’s stiff, it wasn’t going to shape to my head. It’s great for someone it fits though:)

I needed a "magician hat" for my twin 5-year old grandsons to trade off with each other during a magic show that we put on for their parents. It was perfect and really made their costumes (super hero capes they already had.) And for the grand finale, their 2 year old sister pulled a bunny out of the hat! I had it sent directly to their home - several states away and so I wouldn't have to pack it - and it arrived intact, not crushed or bent. It won't last forever, but for a few more magic shows, it will be great - and a good price point.
