It worked under extreme condition
I used this pump in the winter to transfer heating oil into my house and it was left out in the cold and snow all the time. I will say it was way more convenient when I used rechargeable batteries with it. It did work well when I used fresh batteries everytime. Another thing was it run continuously for up to a hundred gallons and never quit. The over flow sensor was a lil annoying sometimes but I did my own alterations and it works awesome.

Works well enough
The pump doesn't quite drain a gerry can...close but not quite, but I can live with that. The pump pipe needs to be a couple of inches longer, and then it would be fine. There is a clip on the nozzle end of the pump that I assume is intended to hold the nozzle in place while the pump is operating. I'm not sure, though, as it doesn't clip to my car's gas tank...at least not readily. I was able to wrestle the clip into the top of the gas tank pipe, but then I had to use a screwdriver to pry it out, and so I think it probably isn't intended to work as I was using it. There are no instructions, and so who knows. It looks, though, like you may have to hold the end of the nozzle in the tank when the pump is operating. There is a picture of the box of someone transferring fuel into a vehicle and the pump hose is stuck into the gas tank pipe and is staying put, which suggests that somehow that clip is supposed to hold the pump nozzle in place, but it doesn't work on my car. That's okay, though...I can deal with that also. Overall, I think the product is okay, although it does have a couple of design problems that should have been caught and fixed before putting the pump on the market. Ha!! Found the instructions. My dog ate them!

Works Great, and Very Easy to Use
I purchased this several months ago, but just today used it for the first time. Winter is over, so I used it to transfer the gas in my snow blower over to my lawn mower. I wasn't expecting it to be as easy as it was. It also took only about 5-10 seconds to transfer the gas, which was probably about a quart. The claim that it transfers 2.5 gallons per minute seems correct. Prior to using the pump, I would use a turkey baster to remove the gas, putting it into a glass jar, then transferring it from the jar. That took considerable more time, and you always spill some this way. With the pump, it is very fast, and no spillage at all. So I will also be using this to transfer gas from 5 gallon cans to my lawn equipment and generator. The big advantage of this, in addition to speed, is that you won't get the overflows when manually pouring from a can into a small tank. It is recommended to clean the pump afterwards, which is done by filling a 5 gallon pail with water, with a little dish soap in it, then using the pump to empty the pail. I would also recommend doing this the first time you receive the pump, not to clean it, but just to see how it works. It is recommended to store the pump vertically. I hang it that way in the garage. The pump uses 3 AA batteries. I use high quality (e.g Duracell or Panasonic eneloop) rechargeable batteries for everything, rather than alkaline batteries, and also a smart charger. I suspect that claims of the pump being too slow are due to weak or cheap batteries. I would highly recommend this pump. If it fails in the future, I will update this review.

Great for changing hydroponics resevoirs
The standard norm for hydroponics systems is to use either a submersible or inline pump for water extractions when it comes time to change the resevoir. I can speak first hand as being one of those that hardly changed out their resevoir because it was a messy, pain in the a**. I would wait until salt started to build up and go grab my buckets, tubing and submersible pump. When my submersible quit working I started looking for an inline pump. So I start looking around and came across a post talking about this turbo pump wand. Once I saw how it worked I knew it was exactly what I was looking for. All one unit, no power cords and no mess. The amount of liquid this thing transfers is amazing. A five gallon transfer took less than two minutes(I have a timer on my grow light)and I was done with everything in ten. Would've been quicker but I had all my buckets filled with new solution so I had to use 1 gallon jugs to empty them out. The only thing I could see being an issue is making sure the hose is clear before removing it. Other than that, this thing rocks. I want to syphon other stuff now. Bird baths, bathtubs or maybe my neighbors pond. The wand is lightweight, easy to use and convenient to have around. I'll be using this regularly and if it breaks, I'm buying another.

Used to be good, don’t waste your money.
This pump used to be worth buying, but not anymore. This is my third pump in 5 years, the first one worked for 2 the second for 3. They were fantastic, I have a van mounted aircompressor for irrigation winterization that you can’t fill with gas cans, they pumps allowed it to be filled and automatically shut off before spilling fuel everywhere. I would use the pumps literally 100s of times a year filling 1.5 gallons at a time. The new one constantly shuts itself off after moving only a couple ounces and will not go back on because the auto shut off sensor is now useless. I am forced to look elsewhere for a product that should have just been left unchanged.

Review for fish tanks
This is the best. I have a Fluval 406 and it leaks, due to the cost of these filters I didn't want to replace it because it still technically works... I stuck it in a Home Depot bucket and every 10 or so days I have to empty the bucket it sits in. This saved me so much time. It sucked the home depot bucket dry with the Fluval inside in like 3 minutes putting the water right back into the 40 gallon tank. I wish I bought it sooner. This thing is great! If it lasts at least a year its worth every penny. Would buy again. Edit. This just helped me with a sump failure. This thing is LEGIT. It kept clogging from the nasty water but banging it on the side of the bucket made it work again. Buying another soon to keep around as a spare. I LOVE this thing. Great buy 100% recommend.

I primarily use the pump to transfer gasoline to my pontoon boat gas tank from a 5 gal jerry can. It quickly empties the can without any risk of spills. It avoids having to hold the jerry can while pouring. This is the best tool to use versus other's that I have tried in the past which include hand pumps, siphon devices, etc..

I used it for one time only to transfer a 20 liter fuel and was the last time to work. After that it stop working. I changed the battery and still no working .
