Very pleased with my change back to Powder and this! Really cleans!
*UPDATE APRIL 2021* Placed yet another order for more and they stalled me along-it's on the way, it's on the way, it's in stock. Then, no reorder it according to their screen. Nothing. Then GET A REFUND. All for a product supposedly in stock. Maybe a pandemic thing but you should KNOW if your product is in stock and if not, do not list it as in stock and give the customer the run-around. I'm taking my stars away for that BS!!! I am a detergent...snob? Or at least one who has tried MANY! I have tried pods, and just no, creeps me out to think of what's in them, the melting plastic getting in my laundry every wash and most smell bad, ESPECIALLY GAIN. GAG! And no pod gets anything super clean unless you use 2. It just scents them. I like using goat milk soap due to the no chemicals, but it doesn't always clean the best. I like to keep that for my pillows, items not that soiled etc. I do like baby liquid detergents (Purex is a fav, followed by ALL) for the scent and kindness to skin, but I just tear through a bottle in no time. So for cost, not so great. With 5 dogs and being a gardener, crafter etc. I do get messy. But I am also sensitive to overpowering scents and fragrances I do not like. This WORKS. First I was seriously impressed with the cleaning ability. I HATE MY HE washer as it uses next to no water and nothing is ever getting fully DUNKED in water and plan to leave it behind in my next move, I HATE it that much, I like old-timey LOTS of water washers. But yet I was able to put some stained doggie blankets and pillows in with this soap and first wash on a QUICK cycle they came out SUPER PERFECTLY CLEAN. No other detergant has done that! I mean things that havent been clean in 6 month depite lots of washes were in my hands PERFECTLY CLEAN, so much so it stopped me in my tracks to really look. That was all the impression I needed to know this stuff is GOOD. NOTHING was getting the stains out of these doggie blankets and pillows. THIS DID. I like the FRESH CLEAN SCENT, I would call it like a FRESH LINEN odor. Doesn't really linger on clothes unless you use a WHOLE SCOOP, (I did that the first few times unsure how much to put in....lol..boy was I WRONG!) In my crappy HE washer it did leave powder stains..easily re washed out, on a black sweatshirt. And I probably used too much. I am pleased with this, will buy again. No skin irritation at all, no gag me scent. Really LIKE. It was packed well and arrived without issue on its side. I will be back for more! I haven't used powder, except for my goat milk soap, since I was..omg probably in my 20's and I am now an old person. LOL I LIKE IT. And no messy dripping bottles etc. Does not disappoint and good price though I wish it was just a tad bit cheaper in these times of washing EVERYTHING once you set foot out the door. *EDIT* Im on my 3rd tub of this, moved, now have a good ol timey fills the washer with water, none of that HE garbage, but only hooked to cold water and this detergent still performs like a champ even in cold water only. Only think I can say is during COVID I do wash my face masks in this SOMETIMES, but prefer to use ALL or PUREX baby or unsented liguid detergent just for them since they will be on your face for HOURS-this is good stuff for everything else and will keep buying it!.

Price point is good but product doesn't do outstanding job at eliminating stains off clothes
Arm and Hammer not the strongest detergent to take stains off my clothes. Love the price which is standard for the size purchased but hate how product doesn't do an outstanding job.

False advertising on measurements, for 290 Loads
False advertising on measurements, for 290 Loads this 18lb container has 288 ounces that comes to .993 ounce per load which is equivalent of 2 tablespoons per, so for a large load they have it written on the container to fill to line 3 which is 4oz, which then a med load should be half that at 2oz correct.. wrong they have a med load at line 1 which is .9 oz the 2 tablespoon mark, which is half of what is needed in my opinion. Are they saying this detergent magically cleans better at half a load than a large load and cleans better using 1oz instead of 4oz. Lol C'mon, fact is cleans worse at the med line 1 because less detergent than a full load @ 4oz. (med load, line #1, has 1/2 of the clothes' but 1/4 of the detergent than a full load) Shameful marketing, what's next 580 loads @ .5 oz used lol, ps btw Large load (line 3) = 72 Loads for those who want to know (288 oz / #3 line (which is 4oz) = 72, I hope this helps someone, I wonder if any ever washed med load with only 2oz of detergent before? And Amazon would not let me submit a 1 star review

Quality control
Fruit time I got was back in December. It was 3/4 full but detergent quality seemed good. Got my second one a week ago and it dose not look like the first batch :/ Iâm not sure if this is straight from arm &hammer or a private seller but if itâs a private seller they are playing with our money.

NOT for sensitive skin
I bought this without looking too closely at ingredients. I assumed I could trust a reputable brand like Arm & Hammer, but this was a mistake. Please do not purchase this detergent if you have sensitive skin. It is highly fragrant and contains phosphates. Almost immediately after wearing clothes washed in this, I had a horrible allergic reaction all over my body. I broke out in very itchy red welts and hives all over my neck, face, legs, elsewheređ I had to go to urgent care it was so intense. Symptoms have now lasted over a week. Have had to re-wash everything in a more gentle detergent multiple times. An absolute bust. Just threw the whole bucket in the trash!!

Doesnât get sudsy or clean clothes well
I tried this soap to see if I could find an alternative to expensive tide and I regret it. This soap is absolute trash. It never gets sudsy and it leaves bad odor on clothes. My husbands socks still stink and my daughters potty training accidents still stink too. I regret buying this 1000%. I have to was clothes 3 times to get a good clean. Never again

I will never buy this again
I ordered this in 2022 and I quit using it when it turned into a rock in the cannister. I used other things for awhile and then I decided to make myself use it up for economy's sake rather than throw it out. I have an HE Samsung front loader. In order to use it I break it up with the edge of a small pyrex bowl and then I break up the lumps by pressing down on a bowl full of it with the bottom of a small sturdy orange juice glass. I have also cleaned toilet bowls with some of it. I'm to the bottom of the tub and boy, will I be glad when it's all gone. I'm not particularly happy with how clean it gets my laundry, either. Mid 2024, I bought a box of ClearaLif detergent sheets and I like them much better, for several reasons. I will be happy to go back to using them.
