Works well
Simple install to allow my truck bed shell light to turn on when the back glass opens. Had to cut the spade connectors off and use smaller terminals to slide over the ARE light control module terminals, but works well for a generic product.

Works perfectly.
It was very easy to install. I did have to open up the middle because the shaft of my strut assembly was larger, however it works perfectly. I hooked it up to my negative wire to interrupt my truck bed lights.I will buy again for my under hood lighting.

Does what it should
I used this to turn my dome light in the truck bed canopy on automatically. Seems to be working perfect, does what it should and was easy to install. I wired it so I can still use the switch if I'm in the bed without the door open.

Wrong size
Just a heads up, I tried this product with 2 different sizes of cylinders and it was too large and unusable for both of them. I tried to Jimmy rig this thing to work with what I had but in the end I went with another option.

Fit the gas struts on my ARE toppers perfectly.
Installed on ARE DCU topper so now when I open the topper, lights come on so I can see inside and on the ground around the pickup. Don't have to worry about making sure the switch gets shut off any more, just close the door and the lights are off.

Works as designed, cheaply made.
Works. Very cheaply made, but only one out there that I could find. Used to make truck cap lights automatics when lifting really gate. Works exactly as described.

Works as good as OEM ARE switch but much better price!!!
Worked great on my ARE topper on my 2000 Ford F-350!!!
