So good!read the entire series in a week
I believe she must have done a lot of research for this series. It was so engrossing that I could not stop reading. The characters fleshed out well and continued developing. When the story seemed to get a little out there on a couple of occasions, it pulled all together and the storyline wouldn't have seemed complete without. The characters got so much more likeable as the story developed. She wrote in the beginning of her hope that you didn't Google the unfamiliar words, but that you read through without stopping to look up the unfamiliar terms. I admit my curiosity got the better of me once, but then I was pulled in so deep that it truly was more enjoyable to read without the distraction of trying to figure them out. I can't wait to read more of her work. Thank you Kelley Armstrong for the Cainsville series.

Great
A fitting end to a wonderful series. I was very worried about the love triangle in this series. I normally hate them, but this one was interesting from the start. I liked the ending solution. It wasn't without heartache but tied the mistakes of the past into a happier future. I absolutely loved the Dryads introduced in this book, they were such fun and interesting characters. I also liked the smaller side plots with Llothe and TC\Felix. Highly recommend this series.

Satisfying conclusion
This wasn't as exciting as some of the other entries in this series, but it didn't need to be. Instead, it wrapped up every thread in logical and satisfying ways, with every character staying true to their story arcs. I stopped just short of loving it only because the exciting parts weren't as exciting as they could have been. As always with this series, the pacing and writing were terrific and I really look forward to whatever Kelley Armstrong writes next.

Great end to this series
I absolutely loved this series, the obstacles they overcame to get to the point they were in was page turning and so very entertaining. Kelley Armstrong did an amazing job with this series and I would recommend it for any magical/ fantasy lover!

...the story is awesome.
This is a hard one to write a review on without giving anything away. The story did it’s job of wrapping everything up with a solution for pretty much everything.I’m giving this a full rating because the story is awesome. That said, I kind of felt like I already knew what was going to happen when it was all done. Yes, there were all kinds of directions this could have gone, but it ended how I expected it to, so this just kind of felt like confirming those thoughts. That was just a tiny bit of a let down because I didn’t feel all that surprised in the end. Then again, I always feel a little let down when I get to the end of a series that I love because I’m just not quite ready to say goodbye to the characters.

Kelley Armstrong only writes very good books.
Kelley Armstrong is simply worth reading. She is able to make a complex series seem simple. It didn't hurt my brain to read this. Really good writers can do this. This series has legs. I hope she writes a lot more of them. But honestly, every book I have read by Kelley Armstrong has been very good. If you know her, you are probably nodding about now. If you don't, take a chance. Note that this is book 3 in the series. They're better when you read them in the order they were written. The books build on each other, so I really don't think that reading just book three would have made sense to me.

Enjoyable Read
This book marks the end of the Cainesville Series and ties up things nicely; with a few twists along the way. The fast-paced action keeps the story unfolding at a pretty good pace and Olivia, Gabriel, and Ricky can't seem to get a break! A bit of backstory is shared early in the story, but this book is far more enjoyable if you have read the others first. Some things that readers have been waiting to see unfold since at least Book 2 finally come to pass. These developments are far more exciting when you have "travelled through the trials and angst WITH these characters" as friendships grew and truths revealed. This was more of a 4.5 star-rated book, as I would have liked to see an epilogue fleshing out some details of what the future holds for these characters given the choices that were made. Maybe ARMSTRONG was leaving room for future novellas??? One can only hope!

Over :-(
This finale Cainsville book made me laugh and cry, and I am very sad for the series to have ended. I am giving this five stars because I finally get some Gabriel and Liv romantic page time. This was definitely five star worthy. The mystery isn't as good as the first books in the series; and I missed that part of the story. This book focused more on Celtic myth, than the daring murder mysteries the previous books centered on. If I hadn't gotten my Gabriel and Liv pay off it would have only been a four star read; as the intrigue was not as palpable in this book as others in the series. The one sparkling part is the book introduces two trust worthy Fae, and honestly it was a delight. All the mysteries are solved in this last book, but Liv's adopted mother never even makes an appearance; I guess that shipped sailed and sunk.In all Cainsville was a wonderful series and I for one will miss it.

Awesome end of the Cainsville-series!
Note: this being the fifth and last book of the Cainsville series, a series that covers a common story arc, makes it the worst place to jump into the plot. I strongly recommend to start with „Omens“.ReviewI can't express, how much I loved this series and although I'm somewhat sad that it's over, I’m just as happy that it ended so tremendously cool. It's endgame-time, the time of Liv’s final choice has nearly come. And Ricky, wonderful Ricky, has stepped aside at the end of the previous book to let Liv go, let her free to make a true choice, unhindered by their relationship, possible. And more so, because he somehow knew that it was not him, she was supposed to be with. This is probably the one and only love triangle I ever loved to read about. OK, if not, I couldn't have read the series, because it's an integral part of the whole thing. But yes, aside from that, it was an awesome show of character development, sacrifice, friendship and, thank Heavens, happiness as well. I was also immensely happy about how it all was resolved: not in an easy way, but believably and satisfyingly.Plotwise is Liv’s choice of course not the only problem. There seems to be a third faction that wants something from Liv. And this faction is not only prone to gory killings, but seemingly plain evil. To fight against this evil, it's not enough for the three friends of work together, but to gather their respective allies as well. Wether they like it or not. I was thrilled to finally get all the answers I craved and a great many things from past books have to be re-evaluated in the light of the new events and revelations. Oh and I was having field days, whenever Liv decided that it was time to tell someone some truths. For example there is Patrick, being told exactly what Liv thinks about him as a so called parent. And he is not the only one fighting to get his mouth clicked shut again.Overall, I was fully satisfied with how things played out and how everything was wrapped up. A really really great series.

So glad I didn't stop at #1
Read the first book but didn't continue on immediately. What a mistake that was! Excellent storyline(s), great characters. I loved this series; definitely on the list to revisit and re-read. Maybe even better than the Otherworld series?

Spannend
Mir gefällt es, dass Olivia nicht die typische Heldin ist.
