Holy @#&%, I say!!
Now, see... THIS is the reason Nancy Bush is one of only a handful of authors (incl., S. J. Bolton, Belinda Bauer, Emily St. John Mandel, Harlan Coben...) whose book releases I plan my LIFE around. The writing is crisp, the story is solid, I love her characters and it had surprises that (in retrospect) fit and that I didn't see coming. What I found most interesting about this particular book, however, was the way it reached into general fiction. Yea, it was suspenseful, as always. And the real-life romantic angle was believable, as always. But I read A LOT of non-suspense genre fiction and this book felt closer to something that reached beyond genre. Not to say there's anything wrong with any type of genre-writing. In fact, if you know anything about me you know I get really irritated by the pigeonholing of so-called genre writers as "lesser." To me, good writing means two things 1) Having a great story to tell and, 2) Telling a story well. Meaning you have to write beautifully. I want insights into who people are and wry observations. Nancy Bush gives me that. Some will be irritated by the quick-devleoping romance and I know many suspense fans of the male variety want all romance out of suspense, altogether. I would too, if I were a guy who reads too much and hasn't had a date since the seventh grade (I mean, let's be honest). And women suspense fans who reject any hint of romance I suspect are trying a bit too hard to fit in with the boys (who haven't had a date since the seventh grade...). I, however, don't like it when a story has everything but love because real life is not like that. Everybody but sociopaths have a longing for love and good suspense genre writers avoid it to the determent of the COMPLETENESS of their stories. You sit around going "Alright... Is this mother****er gay, or what?!" Harlan Coben has no trouble with romance in suspense and If it's good enough him... Know what I'm saying???I will say, as a suspense read, Bush's best, thus far, is Nowhere to Run - due in no small part to the introduction of Auggie Rafferty. But, as chilling, freaky suspense go, N2R is just off the charts as a great story. From the start, I've loved that Bush never follows a blueprint in her own work. She's always looking to go somewhere different - this time, LITERALLY! And I LOVE that. So it's weird to say that I'll Find You is a radical departure, and yet it is. While it is STILL a well-crafted suspense tale I think non-suspense fiction lovers will find much here to keep them turning pages. Readers should be impressed at the way this book stretches beyond genre in a way few genre writers attempt to do. If you line up Bush's books (the one's she writes ALONE!!) and read from oldest to newest you'll see she's a true independent spirit.I LOVED this book. I really did. I suspect this will not be the last we hear of Callie Cantrell and West Laughlin. I HOPE not! But I still want to hear more from Nine - and I'm DYING to hear more from Auggie and Liv. N2R was just too awesome and I'm wild for those crazy Rafferty's. It's a shame that a writer can only write so fast, especially when the writer keeps coming up with characters you want to know better.Excellent work. Now, how long is Bush going to make me wait for the NEXT one...? It's tough to know because she often writes with her sister, Lisa Jackson.... which drives me absolutely nuts. I am NOT a fan of the joint ventures. Their team stories are weak (the words "Siren Song" make me want to stab my eyes with a fork) and they dilute one another's distinct voice and style when they work together. Jackson's convoluted everything-but-the-kitchen-sink style is both weird and fun but, being a minimalist at heart (you can't tell? ;)), I lean toward Bush's writing. And anything that keeps me from the next Nancy Bush surprise irritates. A body only has so many years of life and the more time Bush spends teamed up the less time she spends on her own, more superior, work. Sisterhood... Stop it! Stop it! STOP IT!!!

I'll Find You
Great suspense read with plenty of twists and turns. Lots of Vindictive Women and a man with a God complex that end up killing too may innocent people. Very good read!!

Literally shook.
You think you know what's coming but I promise you don't. I wish the narrator was different. The voice is nice but she sounds like she's reading you a children's book. Book I'd still a 10/10.

scJust learning this author
First half of book started slow but kept me interested. Then the second half started and it picked up speed. The more I read the more I didn't want to put it down. Just when I thought I knew what was going to happen, I was wrong. I got to the last chapters and couldn't stop. What made this book harder was different scenarios going at once. Everything became clearer and then I couldn't stop until the end. Great ending!!!

I'll Find You
This was a very slow starting book for me, but once I got into it, it was really hard to put down.Callie is on vacation when she is accused of being someone else. She finally convinces the detective that she is who she says she is and they begin working together to find the right woman. There are so many twists and turns in this book that it is hard to explain things. There are a lot of characters in this book, and they each have their own part to play. If I write very much about them, I will be giving parts of the book away. I am just going to say, that this was an excellent book. I can't begin to tell you how many surprises are in this book and how they all seem to come together at the end. The ending was such a surprise, as to who was who and why they they did what they did.

I really like Nancy Bush's books but it seems there are two ...
Whew. This novel has a larger population than my hometown. I really like Nancy Bush's books but it seems there are two problems with her books lately: 1-Waaay too many characters and 2-it's beginning to seem as if the stories are all the same, only the location and character names change from novel to novel. And what is it with the characters that feel lust upon first site, even when something bad/scary/monumental is happening. I guess because the LAST thing I'd be thinking about is getting naked if I were being threatened I don't understand characters that are being pushed/bruised/terrified yet look at the person hurting them and think, "Gee, I'd sure like to have sex with him. I don't understand feeling this way NOW, when I should be afraid." Know what? I don't understand it, either. I'm starting to fall our of love with this author's books and I'm sorry about that because I used to enjoy her work so much.

Marti' s review
I liked the premise of the story ,and I am a fan of this author. The heroine Callie has suffered a great loss with the death of her husband and child. She is on the island of Martinique, when she meets a child, "Tucker" that is suddenly attached to her. The child it seems is part of a mystery ,and the story becomes convoluted at times with the presence of an uncle, a religious fanatic and con man and a killer mother . Many unexpected twists and some surprises at the end.

An interesting suspense story. I didn't give it five stars because there was some confusion on the timeline in a number of places, and different, conflicting back stories for the same character. For instance, in one spot she has the character killing his abusive alcoholic father at age nine, and in another spot she has the father dying from cancer when the character is sixteen. These type of things abounded in the story, but I still gave it a four because it's a decent read.
