We got this as a gift to a friend. The cast iron is very thick and the birds look like they do in the advertisement. Our friends love it. They use it as a lunch bell when family visits.

It was delivered with good respect from a very nice gentleman who was very polite. Sounds good and the wife loves it. Now she can call everyone for dinner when it's ready. Lol

Solid, heavy and appears to be good quality - however, need a year outside to truly give an honest assessment - Only problem is in assembling the bell, had an issue with the connection of the bell; this required adding additional stainless washers (not included) to get a secure and tight fit - moreover, the scews included for bolting it outdoors were kind of Indoor Quality and cheap - hard to a proper stainless screw set (not included) to mount it

This bell is an awesome addition to my home. It is both useful and attractive. It's also an instant conversation piece for visitors who for whatever reason are attracted to it and can't resist the urge to ring the bell. Sone don't even ask. I use it to call my family to dinner. We live in a large old 2 story home. I am on oxygen and becane short of breath whenever I had to call out to let them know that dinner was ready. No more! I simply ring this beautiful LOUD bell. It fits right in with the decor. It's beautifully designed and constructed to last multiple lifetimes. I wish I had found this beautiful bell years ago. The sound is perfect. It also resonates nicely. I do not like bells that tinkle or dink. I prefer a bell that resonates with a deep ring and this one does! It also can be heard all over the house. I treasure this beautiful mounted bell and plan to buy some note for gifts to my relatives who also have fallen in love with it.

Looks aged and is heavy/ sturdy. Had it engraved for my husband and he loves it. Perfect to hang on deck.
