It's very important for your safety 🙂↕️
Very good camera for my vehicle. It records absolutely everything I can install very easily and quickly. Good image quality. You need it to record everything, I highly recommend it. It is one of the most complete vehicle cameras on the market in its price range, advanced security features and intelligent connectivity.

Will drain your battery and company will not stand behind their product
We bought this for our 1yr old 2021 Rav4 in July 2022 and had it installed by a professional. In January 2023, while across town picking up my son from sports practice my car died. I jumped it but it wouldn't hold the charge. Being a new car I was able to get a tow to the dealer, but had to wait 2hrs.. across town with my son. Toyota had the car for 2 days testing it and replaced the cars battery. They couldn't figure out what was wrong, but the battery was done. We had our suspicious it was the 6 month old dash cam but weren't sure as we've never had a dash cam before. July 2023 we bought a brand new hybrid Lexus RX and we pulled the cameras out of the Rav4, leaving the wiring behind. We had it re-installed in the RX. November 2023 and we go to use the car on a saturday morning and the car is dead. We again call for a tow truck, to boost our new hybrid. He can't boost it and he can't charge the battery up. Have the car towed to the Lexus dealer. The battery is done and they will replace it. This time, we pull the SD card out of the car and check it. The files left on the card that are not corrupted show lower battery levels than it should be. The files after that are corrupted and then it stopped recording all together. We get our car back and and put the SD card back in and the camera just clicks. It won't even turn on. We are now 4 months past the warranty on the dash camera. We call to ask Thinkware what could be the possible issues, as we have the same camera in our new 2023 Lexus ES and are concerned about that car's battery now failing us. Thinkware support tells us to change the threshold of low voltage so that it will turn off sooner. As far as the one that is broken and has caused as so much trouble.. well.. maybe it was a bad install.. well, we paid a professional to install it, twice, in two different cars. Well.. we can pay to have it repaired. Well.. my problem now was, do I trust that this company has a quality product and that the other camera is not damaging the battery in my other car as well? My answer would be confirmed by Thinkware customer service and their management. They do not stand behind their product more than the 12 months warranty (at this point we are at 16 months). They types of issues we have had and the extreme inconvenience and expense, apparently not an anomaly that they would stand behind. We have removed the camera from the other car (it is 6 months old - maybe I should have sent in this receipt) and will be speaking to the professional installer that we bought the second one from about different brands. Don't waste your money on this camera. If you get a faulty one and it kills your battery so that the dealer can't even re-charge it, you will be out the expense of a new battery.. and be stranded wherever your car happens to die. Worst, Thinkware doesn't even care. You may as well buy whatever Chinese brand for this level of quality.

Works great for me
I've had this for 3 years and it continues to work great. It's small enough not to get in the way of my driving view and the video is very clear, even at night where I can still see license plates. It comes on when the car is started so I don't have to worry about powering it up. My car doesn't have any sensors in front to notify me if I'm too close to the vehicle in front of me but this does. It also alerts when I change lanes (likely good if you drift in your lane). My only nitpicks are I wish the volume could be turned up louder, the app isn't the prettiest, and twice this year it told me it could not record because the sd card was corrupt. It's never happened before so I don't know if the temp extremes in the car is affecting the card. You can easily reformat it tho within the app or on your computer. I sometimes have issues connecting to the app when sitting in front of the device. Most of the time it's because I have a VPN running on my phone. That will definitely keep it from connecting so turn it off to access the app. Otherwise, I would purchase this again, I'm quite happy with it.

Pretty good.
I have had this camera system for a few years now. Two complaints: reading license plates is not as easy as some reviews I have read, I call B.S.. second: after a few years the speaker began to static when first turned on - I suspect this is because of the Texas heat coupled with the heat of the front facing unit. That being said, it's a pretty clear picture and video - both front and rear cameras. It does record sound in the cabin if you choose to turn on that feature. This system also shows speed. I am overall satisfied and despite the static when first turned on now, I would still give this set up a five star rating. I have had these two cameras in four different vehicles that I have purchased. Pretty resilient wiring if you're careful on install and removal.

Amazing video clarity....works as described. I got this hard-wired from a professional and am glad I didn't attempt myself as I might not be able to install this neatly.

Is the Flagship Dash Cam from Thinkware worth the money? I think so. Ask yourself why you need/want a dash cam in the first place. It's to record incidents with as much detail for evidence purposes if needed. The video quality is everything and this dash cam delivers. I received my dash cam in the factory box with the factory seal on it unbroken. Forget the last review for this item something is fishy about that. Besides your dealing with Amazon who has no problems exchanging or refunding your order if the wrong item is shipped. The installation is easy and most people should be able to do it with ease. The hardest part of the installation is identifying the fuses to connect the hard wire kit. That's only because it takes a bit of time to identify the correct fuses with a tester or volt meter. I purchased the radar for this system as well but it's not available through Amazon at this time. You will need additional items to complete the installation. I highly recommend purchasing a trim removal kit. Amazon has many choices available. It does make it easier to remove molding and trim from your vehicle. You will need a fuse tester or volt meter to identify the correct fuses in your vehicle. You will also need to purchase fuse tap adapters. Verify the correct fuse type that you will be using. I made the mistake of ordering mini fuse adapters and my vehicle had Micro 2 fuse adapters. All-in-all the installation was easy and the results are fantastic. I highly recommend this dash cam for the users that are serious about obtaining video evidence of an event.

Purchased from blackboxmycar seller here on Amazon, arrived packed properly with all the contents inside, everything working, driving with it for almost a month, no problems so far, all this time did not reboot it or anything, works stable, picture quality is good, using it in 2k60fps mode, wifi works ok, not sure how parking mode remote view works though cause the camera disconnecting from hotspot once it goes to parking mode, everything else is good

I cannot believe a camera that costs this much, and was professionally installed, has had so many issues in 4 months. I bought this for a very high end luxury sports car. This is concerning and I’ve have close calls during those moments when the camera decides not to cooperate. My sister has a cheap $100 Chinese dash cam and it works more consistently than this cheap product. First time the memory card stopped working. Thinkware sent me a new one and the whole process took 2 weeks. This time the camera stopped turning on randomly. I emailed customer support and they told me to update the firmware. I don’t see how updating the firmware is going to affect the camera turning on. Isn’t that a power issue? Either way it tried that and it still won’t turn on. I even got a new battery installed in my car and it’s connected to the car battery, so I know that can’t be the issue. Either way, I’m frustrated and disappointed in the company and the first + last product I will purchase for them.
