Somewhat Disappointing from a Fern Michael's fan
I should start off by saying that I am a big Fern Michaels fan and have read many of her books. I found this book to be a big disappointment. When I read it, it seemed there were so many details left out, it made me wonder if the book as submitted by Fern was poor and they had to edit/cut huge sections out. There are so many areas where details are missing and I felt like a huge chunk of the book was missing. For example, when Barney decides he must return home, there is no reason why and no experience or event that would have this sudden decision make sense.Even more perplexing is that the exwife is dealt with by the author stating the ex wife married a Matoff wannabe and ended up having many problems. However, this is stated in one simple sentence with no following of her life or her experiences. The beginning of the book follows these experiences so this statement seems like a rip off because we have no real knowledge of her life and how it ended u this way. nogtehr is sue is that the exwife suddenly sends a text to Gus telling him he can have the house and she will leave the key for him. We do know that she had some issues with her attorney, but this is such a huge switch from her hard driving goal to get control of Gus' assets that it seems like a cheap solution to a problem the author created and then could not resolve for the reader. Also, the ending chapter seems to come after a 2 yr period of time has elapsed and is very unsatisfying because we are not made aware of any of the details of the romance between Gus and Jill and how it evolves. We hear about their firs date and then she is helping Gus' relatives run their business and then they are getting married with no details. The last couple of books I've read from Fern Michaels seemed to lack the detail and plot development and evolution of her previous books so thery were a bit disappointing, but this one is a complete MISS. I hope that Fern gets back on track because I have enjoyed the majority of her books, but find the last few to be missing the mark, aka details don't seem to build and gel and the book endings wrap up too quickly and the reader is left feeling cheated.

The Blossom Sisters
Me Michael's sure did it again. What warm hearted stories of the importance of family, love, care and trust. Not forgetting the respect that seniors have feelings. That everyone life matter no matter the age. Money is not everything and karma always get you in the end๐

The Blossom Sisters
When Gus's wife turns out to be the gold digger that his grandmother and aunts warned him that she was, they are not so forgiving of his neglect of them and refuse to welcome him back into the fold. Gus turns to his longtime friend, Barney, who offers his help. This book has it all...feisty grandmother and aunts who refuse to be ignored. An elder controlled business that gives other elders who have been forgotten by their relatives a purpose and better living arrangements for some of the elders. The gold digger wife who uses spells that she has purchased from the Blossom Sisters' business against them and her husband. And there is a duckling that turns into a swan.If you like cozy, feel good stories, I recommend this book to you.

One of her best
I have been reading Fern Michaels books for years and everyone of them has been great. That said this one is right up there at the top.Being a senior myself it made me feel good that someone is remembering what it feels like when you are alone. Laughed and cried at the goings on of everyone. Couldn't put it down.Enjoy a really good book. ThAnk you Fern Michaels.

Delightful
I enjoyed this book more than any I have read lately. A lighthearted yet significant tale of what really makes life meaningful, it has the feel and flavor of the Mitford stories by Jan Karon. It will warm your heart and have you cheering on its characters.

Another well done book
I loved it just like all Fern Michaels books. It is about an accountant that his grandmother raises him because his parents did not want him. After college the grandmother sets him up in business and buys him a house, then he meets his true love, so he thinks and they get married. Then they end up in divorce and she tries to get everything, because the only reason she married him was she thought he had money. With this marriage messed up it did not work out as she planned, so she went after her lawyer for money. The grandson ends up working with his grandmother and her two sisters, better known as the Blossom Sisters. A very good read.

Thanks Fern, for another great read!
This book really was enjoyable as well as giving advise as to living a good life while doing your best for those close to you. It shows how people are turned and need guidance to get their priorities straight.I am a long time fan of Ms. Michael's and will continue to look for her latest offerings.

A Big Waste Of Time...
I have read many of Fern Michael's books and this one is not one of her best efforts...Enough with the coffee drinking, cigarette smoking and fist pumping...These seem to be running themes through most of her books and to be honest, I'm kind of tired of reading the same phrases over and over in different books...I was not a fan of the characters in this book...Gus seems like a goofy nitwit and I didn't really understand the need for Elaine's fixation with voodoo and witchcraft...I thought there would be some sort of tie in with Elaine's purchases from the grandmother's company but there just never was...Another loose end that was never tied up...On the whole, this book was a huge waste of time.
