I'll start off by saying that these were very easy to set up and integrate with the rest of my smart home. The colors are cool, but I do not use them a whole lot, except when I want to have a party or something. It just felt wrong to just buy the white ones becase honestly the colors are really vivid and nice. The mobile app is well-built, it has a similar design style to Apple apps. Very sleek and intuitive to use.The only things are is that first off, Hue bulbs are expensive as hell. Imagine for a second trying to do your whole house with these, or even a single room. I have 5 light sockets in my room, and I spent US$250 on all of them, not including the hub.The second flaw is the fact that Hue still relies on a Zigbee bridge in 2021. I'm familiar with the Hue Bluetooth functionality but honestly it's lacking so much of the functionality without the hub that I wouldn't even really use it. It might work for some people... if you have less than 10 lights and don't care about the Hub functionality. Regardless, I would have thought they would have decided to make the switch to Thread by now, like Nanoleaf has. Yes, Nanoleaf is a very solid alternative to Hue if you don't want to spend the ridiculous money for a Hue system.Anyways, yeah. Hue is by far the most reliable HomeKit product I use and this is the reason for its heavy presence in my home (with over 200 bulbs and growing). The stability of the system is unmatched among competitors and the quality of the components is top notch. This truly is a case of getting what you pay for, and worth the extra cost compared to some of the more value-centered competitors' apparent deals that do come at the sacrifice of features or reliability. How Hue will totally handle thread remains a bit unknown, with the hubs only currently having support, but I don't see this as a major factor since the Zigbee mesh the bulbs create for themselves is sufficient. The only negative I would consider is that the hubs do have a finite number of bulbs they can support before reliability begins to deteriorate rapidly - with the absolute maximum number being 63 and the danger zone starting at 50.

These are for a standard size light socket and you can use as any other light bulb by using the wall switch if you do not have an Alexa. Each one uses about 9 watts for each bulb. My electric bill has gone done down significantly. They are expensive but they last about 20 years. Use your phone take a pic of the info on the box and they will replace them for free if there is a problem. Customer service is outstanding.

I'm slowly integrating Hue lights throughout my house and outdoor areas. I find them to be everything I would want in my lights... efficient, adjustable, workable with my phone app...and... just down right cool. I've paired the outdoor ones with motion sensors and just thoroughly love that because I now don't have the bugs hanging out all night... it's a Florida thing.The ability to adjust colors and brightness in whichever room is the cat's meow.Expensive, yes. Awesome, yes.And it doesn't take a rocket scientist to set them up. If you're sitting on the fence as I was then you should just start with a couple and slowly build you're newly lit up world. You'll be pleasantly surprised... and pleased.

I don't understand why so many people were having trouble with getting their Bluetooth light to work with Echo Dot 3. I literally screwed the bulb in and within 15 seconds Alexa said "First Light discovered" and then I went into the Hue Bluetooth app and I pushed a few buttons and it paired with my phone immediately. I renamed "First Light" to "lights" and now I can say "Alexa, lights on" or "Alexa, lights 25%" and while I can't name every color that exists I can say "Alexa, lights crimson." I bought a much cheaper smart color changing bulb earlier this year and if you want to pay $20 for 2 of them, yeah they'll work perfectly fine. But if you're willing to spend a little extra, you'll get a better range of brightness and softness of color with these bulbs and you'll also get 16 million colors to choose from if you're using the app. And the brightest setting is VERY bright. So it's a win in my book.

These are pricey bulbs compared to the average dimmable 65W BR30 bulbs but for me they were worth it. I like that I can choose from tons of different shades of whites for my home office that I'm now working in it all day. The app offers a lot of flexibility and functionality as well. For example I can schedule rules for when I wake up and place a widget in the left drawer of my iPhone for easy on/off access. The preset scenes in the app are a nice feature to choose from as well. The arctic aurora scene is perfect for my eyes that do not handle soft white or overly bright daylight bulbs well.

These are great. I just talk to alexa and they go on. It comes out of the box with a few scenes - combinations of colors and brightness - that are really good. Concentrate is my favorite for getting work done during the day. And then I "relax" at night. The hues are fun for watching movies - makes it feel like an event, not just watching a flick at home.They're super expensive, but a lot of fun.

I already have other Hue lights and a Hue bridge. I put these bulbs in the fixture, turned it on, then opened the Hue app and they were right there waiting to be named and put into a Room/Area. Very easy. Love the control this gives me over the lighting in my room as well.Love the Hue Bulbs...

Buenos focos y buena calidad como todo lo de Philips Hue, es buena opción para ponerlo en el techo ya que por el propio diseño luce bien

Es excelente porque puedes elegir el tipo de luz que quieres usar y funciona muy bien con Alexa, pero cuando se actualiza se desconfigura y solo lo puedes controlar desde la app.

Excelente opción para automatización aunque algo costoso.
