Great little Mic
Its a standard little clip on mic and pretty much does what you would expect it to do. I really like the strong clip on it as so many are not as strong. The only knock is that you can't use it on a group call or doing something like a podcast with multiple people as the mic cancels out the speaker, both connect via the lightning port and the phone thinks you are connecting headphones. But overall, great little mic recorder

works well
As an aspiring influencer (check me out at chantellefashion), having high-quality audio is a must for me. The built-in mics on our phones can only take us so far, ya know? So I started researching Iphone mics and let me tell you, there are more options out there than you can shake a selfie stick at!After hours of research and watching review after review on YouTube (you know how one video leads to another leads to another - the internet is a black hole sometimes, am I right?), I finally settled on this little beauty by Lavlimic. And honey, let me tell you, I have zero regrets with this purchase!First of all, can we talk about the price? For under £20, you simply cannot beat the value here! I was wary of the low price at first, but after seeing the four- and five-star reviews roll in, I knew this was a winner. The sound quality punches well above its weight class - basic audio with no static or white noise to be heard. Whether you're an aspiring content creator, dedicated vlogger, or frequent video chatter, this lavalier mic deserves a spot in your kit. For the price and performance, you simply can't do better!

Plug and play, and what a difference
I was going to submit the sample recordings that I did - one with the iPhone 12 Pro Max built-in mic, and one with the iZen lapel mic - but there doesn’t seem to be an option for this.I have a Rode mic and mixer for use with my laptop for recording on Audacity, and this is so close to that, at a fraction of the cost, and no extra software.I recorded onto the basic voice memo app, and the difference is vast! And for under the £20 mark I wish I had discovered this earlier.I preferred the plug-in type as Bluetooth usually ends up getting on my nerves, but that’s just personal preference. This mic really does a great job, especially for the price.

Awful sound quality
I tried this for some YouTube videos so it picked up more of me and less of outside noise. I did a small test and it sounded fine, but when I looked back at the 2 hours of footage I'd taken it was unusable. Any deviation from my normal talking voice, ie laughing or raising my voice slightly, and the mic blew out. It also picked up every other noise and amplified them.Would not recommend. You get what you pay for.

Adequate mid-range mic
It's OK - better than the built-in iPhone microphone. Does not cope well if the volume gets high.

Value for money
This iPhone external microphone is very good. I’m using it for my YouTube channel and to vlog on my iPhone 12 and iPad and I have no issues. If I would be picky I would say that the mic needs to be unplugged to listen to the playback recording but this is normal because the iPhone recognises the mic as an external accessory but because it’s an plug and play mic it’s easy to use and doesn’t bother me at all.

For the money it’s fine!
For the money, this Lavalier microphone works surprisingly well. I’m sure that it wasn’t designed to be used outside but I’ve had good results using it with a cheap wind muff that I bought off Amazon. Just be aware that whether you use this microphone indoors or out whatever you record will be full of sound artifacts. A good audio editor is therefore essential!
