This book wasn't BRAND new but it was new enough and in perfect condition! I sure do appreciate this purchase as school is trying to empty my pockets!!

I needed this book for my Psych rotation in nursing school. It wasn't an overwhelming tedious book. It was very informative while staying interesting. If you can, buy it and keep it forever, Psych is always relevant.

Great book! One of the few readable textbooks out there! I got away with using the 7th edition instead of the 8th edition for most of my mental health nursing course at Chamberlain College of Nursing. However, when you get further into the book the chapters can be really different, but I made it work. Also, this book is written with DSM 4 and not DSM 5.

This textbook is an in-depth look at nursing process applied to psychiatry. It does a great job of separating the disorders and identifying the characteristics of each one. The book contains great care plans for each disorder - I have referred to them several times already in clinical! Great textbook!

Good book, a little old school. Not as up to date like ATI and NCLEX is. Good information but a TON of it. The book is very dense!

Before clicking buy, check where the book is shipped from.I got one that looked copied, It has a "JAYPEE" on the lower left of the the front page.Paper is darker than what I used to buy from amazon.So, I was disappointed but they got all the correct information in the textbook.hopefully, I will pass my psych class.

I found it written well, full of actual facts and useful information without being repetitive or 'fluffy.' I really found the content interesting and learned a lot of good tips to incorporate into my psych rotation.

For the price .....actually scratch that!! I was going to say for the price I got what I paid for but I didn't. The book cover was fine but when I had to open the book up the book fell apart! The book fell apart. The boning of the book just fell apart and the book has chunks of pages ( about half an inch to one inch thickness) and it quickly became a book cover with stacks of pages between them with nothing binding them! So now I have a text book with pages hanging out and separating every time I use it.My semester is already full steam so I just kept the book but damn.... I wish someone had checked the book before sending it off...
