I have used the cork trivet for both hot dishes and for plants. Nice and thick and curved edges are smoothly cut.

I bought this trivet for my new countertops and table. The quality is pretty nice and it's 3/8 of an inch thick. It works great for my big Corning dishes, but I wish it were a little bigger for my frying pans. I would recommend these.

This should last a couple lifetimes - and that's the criteria for all my purchases now that I've grown up and thrown out so much stuff that was inferior. This is a keeper. I'm pleased when form follows function and it sure does with this solid trivet. I use it for my tea pot and mug in my TV den. Could be great on any table. Nice and thick. No odor (thanks much for that as just about all items these days smell). Great simple product -- just one wish that the labels on the back had not left a sticky residue. So, for others, just don't remove those labels. I just put a piece of clear packing tape over that area.

These are not at all thick, for the price I expected a thick, hefty piece of cork. Returning it.

Needed non slip surface for hot pans next to kitchen range. Perfect for our purpose.

Works nicely to protect my counter and table top.

Can't say enough about the awesomeness of this. Works great for my large crock pot. I am a renter, so I worry about the counter tops and damaging them. I did buy another one and double up, they work twice as well, no over heating, no issues. I love them so much i went back and bought 3 more, for mini crock pot, my toaster and the top of the microwave, to protect the top.
