Finally a VHF/Hi-V amp that works! Also does UHF pefectly.
I've dropped my cable TV service a couple of years go and switched to streaming (via Sling) to save money. Unless you are in a limited number of metro areas you'll not get your local channels. I wanted/needed my local channels. My solution was to switch to Sling and use an AirTV anywhere TV receiver with a moderate-cost outdoor antenna to get my local channels. Accessing the two VHF channels of interest proved hit or miss (rain, wind,etc.). My first attempt was the Winegard UHF/VHF outdoor amp. It came with app that let you see signal quality to add in pointing. Is improved by reception but wasn't perfect. I got decent reception on the VHF I wanted most. The other was better but still pixelating. The VHF side of the amp died recently. I purchased the ADIJuice and just installed it. Worked immediately with perfect reception on both VHF channels. I had the AiryTVanyhere scan rescan for available channels and all my local national channels were Green (the best), local low-power stations where Yellow (most where Red before), and channels more than 100 miles away were Red. The quality of the build was much better than the Winegard. The Juice and its power injector are all metal. The Winegard was plastic and the injector flimsy. Works great!! Wish I had bought this a week earlier as I missed my football game. Read the negative reviews. For protection I bought mine from Amazon which both sold and shipped by unit.

Added channels
I’m pleased so far. I have 2 antennas going into this up on a mast about 13 feet off the ground. (Antennas are the exact same brand and I’m using the exact same length of coax cable) I’m 30 miles from one market and 50 miles from the other. I pointed both antennas at the market that’s 50 miles away. ( I didn’t have good results pointing the antennas at each different market) I was getting 30 to 40 channels at first, with this setup I’m getting 102 channels from both markets don’t get me wrong some are not great, but at least 85% of the 102 are at least 75 out a 100 on a signal scale. The picture on HD channels is spectacular. I have an old Channel Master (15 years) 1 output distribution amp that runs 3 tvs a Hd homerun Dvr and dish network is still hooked up ( not for long though lol) though a 3 way splitter where it comes into the house, and another 3 way splitter at the tv farthest away where the Dvr and dish hopper are. As far as the power inserter went I made a loop from the antenna into the nearest bedroom so I could plug the power inserter into an inside outlet and back out to go to the splitter. Ground all outside splitters, the mast and the Juice amp, (this is important) Everything is working great at this time, I can run everything at the same time and so far no issues. I’m very pleased. I can’t guarantee you will get the same results, I am by no way an expert at this by any means. Again it worked for me, this is at a rural setting. Good Luck

Not a cure all
It is clear from my reading of other reviews that many people don't understand what this product does and how it is used. Receiving (or not receiving) a particular station is the sum total of: Antenna Antenna placement The quality of your receiver (your TV) The quality of your cable The length of your cable and all devices and connectors between the TV and the antenna. This amplifier addresses mostly only one problem. It is designed to compensate for the reduction in signal strength that happens as the signal travels through the cable. The longer the cable, the more loss you have. You will also have loss as you go through couplers and splitters. The JUICE captures the signal at the antenna before any losses occur and boosts it to compensate for the expected losses down the line. If the signal is no good at the antenna, boosting it will not make it better. It is possible it might make a bit of difference on a marginal signal sent to a poor receiver. If you paid $400 for a no-name big screen TV, chances are that TV's tuner is not the greatest. It is also possible to have too strong a signal. In experimenting, I found that the JUICE made things worse (on my TV) if the cable length was less than 50 feet and no splitter in line. If you have more than 100 feet of cable and don't get all the stations you want, you definitely want an amplifier, and this is a good one. If your cable run is less than 50 feet, I would try other things first, like a bigger, better antenna. The JUICE got me more stations and I'm happy with my purchase, but unless you have a long cable run, you can't count on it helping you get that elusive station. Every installation is different and sometimes you just have to use trial and error to find out what works.

Great to pair up with ClearStream 4V TV Antenna
I had previously bought a cheapie antenna and didn't get all the channels I was hoping for. I went ahead and took a chance on this one (C4-V-CJM) and paired it up with their "JUICE" preamp. I also used 'Versachem 15309 Dielectric Spark Plug Boot Grease' on the coax fittings for good measure. I mounted this on the crest of my roof on a 10' mast that I bought at the local building supply. I secured it with 18" Y-mount stand-offs and a wooden boot that I made for the mast to sit on. I live in Southern New Hampshire about 50 miles north of the Boston towers. I got everything setup and powered up the preamp, turned on the TV and ran a channel scan... I cannot tell you how happy I was to pick up 49 channels, including Fox which I could not pick up with the other anntenna which was also roof mounted. I've been watching Sunday football all day and not a single hiccup, no pixelation, just a beautiful picture! A couple things probably worth noting - I am not splitting this signal and haven't even tried to yet. I'm running one line from the antenna to the preamp power supply and from there to the TV. I used tvfool.com to get the compass coordinates to the Boston transmitters and I was able to get everything right up to where the map started to go grey (after red). So far, very good! Time will tell if I get any weather interferrance, etc. Judging by the performance I've seen so far, I'm not expecting any significant signal degradation. Oh, and I did have some occassional pixelation with cable service too, so this is actually better so far. I would highly recommend this antenna and can comfirm that it is good as gold from 50 miles out with the preamp and direct (un-split) connect.

Less than one year and dead
I sent the following to Antennas Direct through E-Mail. I purchased an Antennas Direct ClearStream Juice VHF/UHF Low-Noise Preamplifier System through Amazon in August of 2019. Obviously it is past the 90 day warranty; however, I am writing to you to express my disappointment in this product. I have an Antennas Direct ClearStream antenna that I attached the "Juice" to. I have been very impressed with its performance and felt the "Juice" would be a quality product... especially at the price. Over the past several weeks I have been getting a notice that my signal was weak on occasion. No big deal with OTA I thought. On the evening of June 19 we were watching streaming channels and tuned in a local OTA channel. Surprise no signal. I rescanned my Amazon Fire Re-Cast as well as my Samsung Smart TV and could only get 4 channels. Prior to that I was getting 34. These 4 channels were week at best. Well I slept on it and scanned again in the morning June 20. We had a storm during the evening of June 19. No really close lightening... we have had several instances of close lighting in the 10 plus months of operation of the "Juice". So I went into analysis mode. I rescanned again and still got 4 channels; however, 4 different than the night before. I waited an while and did some research to see if there was some kind of broadcast problem. Non such. I then rescanned again and got "0" channels. I checked my installation in the attic and found no problems. I bypassed the Juice unit at the TV (main Juice electronic box still in line at the antenna) I rescanned and got 8 channels. I changed the by pass back to the "Juice" unit and scanned again... no channels. Then I disconned the power supply to the Juice unit and scanned again... 8 channels. I removed the electronics from the line in the attic and hooked the antenna direct. Scanning produced 35 channels. Conclusion the "juice" unit has totally failed.

Good performance and solid construction. Runs HOT though...
Stellar performance from a small attractive and intelligently designed package. Made from the highest quality components that should last a long time. It includes an LTE filter but no FM trap. The Amp gets noticeably hot while in operation. I guess thats why it has the heat sink designed into the casing. This is the only Amp that I've ever used that gets warm. It made me stop and think that maybe it wouldn't last long in a hot attic. Electronics don't generally do well in consistently hot environments because the heat can cause them to fail. I compared the performance to my Winegard LNA-200 Boost XT Digital HDTV Preamplifier and I found the performance to be nearly identical. As a result I decided to return this item for a refund because the performance was no better and I was concerned about the Amp running so hot in my attic. Also the Winegard is half the price of this one. If my antenna were outside where the the Amp could breath and stay cooler I would probably have kept it. I'm just concerned about it's long term reliability in certain situations. On the other hand, the Winegard is not completely sealed and I would be concerned about using it outside exposed to the elements. I just ordered a Channel Master CM-777HD. It seems to be the gold standard right now but it too has some design flaws. It doesn't seem to be designed to mount to the mast very easily although Channel Master says it can be. It also has a power port that seems like it could be a possible entry point for moisture. In my situation it will be mounted in the garage, out of the elements and not in the extreme heat of the attic so I'm OK with it's design.

No more drop outs
I have probably an 80 ft plus run from my antenna, so I decided to purchase this. My VHF channels never fluttered at all, but sometimes my UHF channels, (Fox/NBC), would lose signal for a second and then come right back. Aggravating to say the least. My signal strength at the TV must have been right at the cusp, so I wanted to give it a boost. I installed this product, and everything seems to be fine now. I watched a whole plate of NFL (Free) on Fox and NBC and the signal did not wavier at all. Perfect signal the whole time. One item of note, my antenna is installed in my attic, so all of the components for this are up there as well. The actual amp is mounted to the pole, and the power inserter is about 50ft in the other direction. I already had a break at this point in my coax line, so this was the easiest place to put the power inserter. I have a115vac outlet up there, so it was easy to plug in. Would recommend this product.

This Just Works !!!
Live 36 mi from the Philadelphia Antenna Farm. Antenna is at 35ft of height on the eve of my roof with a clear line of site to the horizon. It is a Channel Master vhf-lo, vhf-hi & uhf 60 mile rated antenna. Coax is 75 ft of RG-6 Quad Shield to the main TV with 1 split of 50 ft to the bedroom TV. Should not be a problem right ??? WRONG. Have access to a total of 39 channels after doing a re-scan on the TV. The main channels are 3,6,10,17,29 &57. Checked online and all are transmitting at 1 million watts ERP. So why are channels 6 and 29 coming in all pixelated. They had a signal strength on my TV meter of less than 15 %. The other channels that did come in clear, had a signal strength in the 60's %. Tried swinging the antenna a little right and left, no improvement. I was totally frustrated. So decided to try a pre-amp. After installation, which was really easy, Re-scanned and now have access to 84 channels. My main channels now have signal strength at 100 % with 100% quality. All I can say is that I am super impressed with this pre-amp. My only concern is "how long will it last".
