Sound advice clearly presented
The book covers a wide range of subjects related to living on a boat and rare but real risks to consider and mitigate. Required reading for anyone who is considering owning a boat where temperatures fall below freezing.

Covers most subjects but is general
This book is a good first book on sailing for the dreamer. It seldom goes into details, it's more of a 'what to expect'for the beginner. Has no index.

Pros and Cons
Interesting reading, but was not thinking of being at a marina, for long periods!

Excellent book for wannabe liveaboards!
This book is simply fantastic if you are considering living aboard a boat. The author provides realistic very useful information, based on research and personal experiences, on a multitude of aspects, including purchasing a boat, spreadsheets for budgeting, marina life, expectations with family and pet(s), etc. It is simply well written too - a fun read as well as invaluable for its content. I couldn't recommend this book more if you are considering this lifestyle.

All about living on a sailboat in the Northeast part of the United States.
This book is about living on a sailboat in the Northeast. There were a few things that I didn't know they came up in the book. My main interest is living on a motorized yacht like a Nordhavn Yacht. Also I would be interested in living in Seattle, and this book is about living in in a similar latitude except on the East Coast instead of the West Coast. Very informative and worth the read if you're interested on living on a boat.
