These guys have a well-deserved reputation. Mike Bucca’s original Bull Shad got a lot of attention, and this miniaturized version has also had a good bit of buzz around it. If you’re a rare fisher who hasn’t heard the talk about this thing, I’ll give you a brief overview.Color is great. The paint schemes perfectly straddle that line between realistic and flashy. If you’re logical about which color you choose (if you match the hatch, as they say), you’ll be able to imitate your local baitfish, but with a small added flair to draw fish specifically to your bait.Action is spectacular. It looks like you’d imagine a wounded shad would look. Exactly like it. Because it’s in four segments (instead of your run-of-the-mill two or three), the action is incredibly fluid. There are multiple ways to fish this thing, all of which impart some sort of attractive action.The size is perfect for anyone from the pro to the hobbyist. It’s small enough to attract fish of small to average size, but big enough that larger fish will also take notice.All in all, really a great bait. It may seem a little pricy, but it’s absolutely worth the money.

Caught a fish in my first cast with this lure. Great entry into the world of swim baits if you don't have the tackle to throw the big heavy lures that are so popular now. Burning it fast and making a wake or cranking it slow and deep, the action is great either way.

Really nice action, great for sight fishing, caught this one off of my 12ft Jon boat and put her in the live well, really nice paint on it, good weight for easy casting, and good value for your money.

Once you get it under it swims great but it's too light to get any further down than a foot or two.
