Very helpful
We had a new cat come into our household. One of my existing cats is having trouble adjusting, she's being possessive and can be quite the bully. I tried this collar a few months ago and it has been very successful. She's still not "friends" with the new cat but there is a definite improvement when she's wearing the collar. It does last about a month and my cat makes it very obvious when it's starting to wear off.Update:Since I've realized she'll probably need this collar for quite a while as she always reverts after it wears off I found a less expensive way. First off, I was able to find this for $10 at another online retailer and they offered free shipping for over $50 purchased so I stocked up and bought 5. I then cut the collar into quarters and riveted it to a regular collar. I went with a puppy collar, rather than a cat collar as it is thicker and was able to rivet it more easily. I bought a $10 assorted rivet set on Amazon, came with everything you need to rivet other than a hammer. I also used a drill to make initial holes in both collars. My monthly cat collar spending has now been reduced to less than $3 a month, rather than $15. Super easy to do, anyone can do it. If my review has been helpful to you pretty please click on the "like" button, thanks!!

Collar is NOT breakaway!
These collars do not break away like they are supposed to, and my cat nearly died because of it. After wearing it for a month - with really no noticeable behavior change, the inappropriate peeing didn't stop - he had climbed on top of the refrigerator as he liked to do, and my wife yelled at him to get down, as she likes to do. But this time, when he jumped down, somehow the collar got hung on the cabinet door knob and the poor guy basically hung himself. This is a very large, almost 20 lb cat, and the collar did not break. I wasn't home, and if my neighbor had not by the grace of God been visiting, my cat would now be dead. Luckily, my neighbor is a doctor and he actually gave my cat CPR and got him breathing again. We then took him to the vet who checked him out and gave him some steriods, muscle relaxers, and pain injections for his neck and sent him home. Thank God he is doing ok, but no thanks to Nurture Calm for selling collars that don't break away like they're supposed to. I will never buy another one and I will warn anyone who will listen that they put the lives of their pets at risk if they use these collars. As I said, my cat is very large and the collar didn't break when he jumped off a refrigerator and snagged it, so it's not going to break under much of any kind of impact. I have attached a picture of the result if anyone wants to see.

They added Scent June2019 BEWARE!
We have purchased these collars for our 2 cats for years, particularly because they worked and DID NOT have an obnoxious added scent. Had to return the last 2 because they had some flowery smell that wrecked havoc with my wifes' allergies. Even after removing the collars the smell was over powering, resulting in both cats getting a bath. If you go through the reviews you find comments about liking them because of no added scent other than the pheromones for the cats.

I recommend this but stopped working for one of my cats who will be going on prozac.
They worked well at first, but after 3 months of repurchasing every 30 days, it seemed to have little to no effect on my problem cat. I think it's time for kitty prozac for that one.I recommend this product for minor to moderate behavioral problems but it's always worth a shot regardless! The collars don't bother my cats. In fact they seem to like them. Do not fasten too tight because mine had an allergic reaction, rash and scabs around her neck but as soon as I loosened it, zero problems. Also not recommended for active or outdoor cats as these are not breakaway. Just keep a close watch while they are getting used to the collars, check neck for rashes or excessive scratching as well as getting them caught in their mouth which could cause serious injury.Point is-give it a try..they definitely work better than the plugins and are much cheaper. Good luck!

For mild aggression and anxiety
More people need to know this really works! However, it’s not a total fix if you have a cat with deeper aggression or anxiety. I’m an RVT at a cat clinic and I strongly believe that some cats need help from more than pheromones. I adopted a new cat in October and he and my older cat got along fine, but sometime in December they both got out of sorts with my busy schedule, and family in and out for Christmas. My new cat became a little aggressive towards the older cat, and he even started urinating on my bed! I had blood and urine tests run and his diagnosis was idiopathic cystitis. This usually happens when the kitty is stressed. He was on medication, a special diet, and the collar. After he was done with medication and the diet, I continued to use the collar, trying to figure out if it truly works. And it does! He was much calmer, and loving. He no longer needs his collar but I also started the older cat on this collar because he was hiding a lot. Now he’s back to roaming the house and being social and lovey. I truly believe this collar works.
