Do these plates go soggy if you serve something with a runny gravy like a curry or a stew?

I have used them for a bean stew and they did not go soggy. Great size for BBQ.

Why does technical detail describe them as plastic?

My plates was not plastic they were cardboard very nice ones too

Not so that you can wash and re-use I wouldn't think, but you can use them for serving food with a high moisture content without them breaking or leaking, they are much more robust that standard paper plates.
