Beautiful stunning board, but...the center piece inside has a slice in it so have to return it. The magnetic pieces are very nicely constructed. They stack on top of each other as they should. The paper backing is well stuck on the pieces. The outside of the case is a soft velvet. The board is beautiful and I would keep it with the damage except for the cost. Pricey for a travel board but well worth the price if it didn't have that slice to begin with. I may reorder and try my luck again , haven't decided yet. I'm kind of a snob for backgammon boards. I love beautiful well constructed games.

Perfect size for travel. It's well made and worth the money.

I ordered this board (in maroon) because I travel a lot and like to play with family members. Obviously a normal sized board is difficult to travel with. This board is about the size of a large hardback book. The outside is a velvet like material. The boards closes and opens with a zipper and is in general quite attractive to look at. The inside is felt with sewn on leather points that don't seem like they will peel up with time. The pieces are plastic with magnets inside. The magnets are strong enough to hold the pieces in place, but not so strong that moving the pieces around the board becomes awkward. The price might seem a bit high for a travel board, but I would say that its worth it.

Very pleased with this item. My son brings it to school and it fits nicely in his locker, and doesn't fall apart.

Great travel size

This game was a gift for my 95 year old mother's 96th birthday. It worked perfectly as we can sit back together with our feet up and play with a tray across out laps. She loves to play and this is a very very nice set.

Love playing backgammon. This is a great travel game too!
