Like the lids!
Really like the lids. I was nervous they wouldn't fit the mason jars I had ordered, but like the description said, they fit the standard sized ones that I had. Ordered these because I ASSUME they are BPA free - but not able to confirm. Ordered them anyway because there is no plastic in the lid - it is one single piece. The slightly odd thing is that there is almost like an artificial 'print' on the metal - hardly noticeable but gives it that 'metal' look. Anyway - would recommend to buy and would buy again - just might if I need more.

but they basically looked like a normal
These were not at all what I expected. I thought they would be a darker color, as it looked in the picture on the computer screen, but they basically looked like a normal, silver lid that comes with the jars, but not quite as shiny...kind of antiqued a little. Perhaps it was my fault. I didn't really know what "Pewter" was and I went based on the photo. I gave it three stars because of this. Otherwise the lids are nice and if they were only darker, they would have been perfect for what I was looking for.

quality is good enough for jar covers
quality is good enough for jar covers. They're the perfect size for 16-ounce jars/jar mugs. a few of them were scratched but I can imagine how hard it is to get these perfect.

Did not fit my jars.
I have several real Mason jars, not Ball and these said to be pretty universal. These lids are too loose and won't screw on. I did get my shipment lightening fast and they are of good quality. Just wish they would work.

great product, good price and quick delivery
love these. this is my second order - they're great on our repro mason jars that I use for storing dried food, seeds, nuts. I also use them on our vintage mason jars that we use to store non-food items (nails, screws, etc.). I don't can food so, never liked the canning jar lids - i'll be using those to make a wreath instead!.

Cheaply Made and It Shows
I bought these lids for a craft project (soap pumps) hoping to get a nice pewter look, while still being able to beat them up a bit to make it work. These are so flimsy, that cutting into them for the pumps to be fitted is just too much for them to handle. The pewter look is not great, and the lids were scratched up from rubbing together in their plastic bag.If you're just looking for a lid for a jar to hold stuff (not food, as there is no seal) - and don't mind them having a cheap finish, these will work pretty well. I may just end up having some fun and painting mine or something, but definitely not making soap pumps with them.

Perfect for My Dry Goods
Adds nice decorative touch, and it seals my dry goods (beans, sugar, nuts, etc.) well. I use these on jars that I have on my open shelving. I would not use these for any kind of liquid; that's what the standard lids are for.

I was disappointed in the lids
I was disappointed in the lids. They look really dull in color. I don't know why, but I expected a more shiny silver look like the original 2 piece lids. Also, I think they make the jars look cheap. Each lid has a strange pattern on top that's the same on every lid. I guess it's suppose to look more metal this way, but it's not. So the color is not uniform all over. While it is one piece so it is still functional, they aren't pretty. I'm considering spray painting them black, but I don't know yet.
