FlexaMed Left Side Inguinal Groin Hernia Truss with Compression Pad White - Small

Bought this for my husband. He owns a bread sales route (lots of heavy lifting) and just can't take time off for surgery right now. He had been having a lot of swelling and pain, so I bought this hoping it would help. I am a nurse, he rarely listens to me or follows my suggestions, lol, and my husband never likes anything!!! I can tell you he is super happy with this product. I am shocked! He feels no discomfort at all if he wears it. He is miserable if he doesn't. Our goal was to keep him from needing surgery soon. It works so well that I just bought another one today so he doesn't have to wash it as much. He says it was awkward and annoying at first when he had to use the restroom because of the strap to help keep it in place, but he has gotten over that since he feels so much better. It comes with a pad that you have to place over the hernia to help hold it in place. If you are suffering and can't have a surgery right now, this is the product for you. It was true to size, so he wears medium underwear, and the medium belts fits perfect. Good luck!

Diagnosed with left groin hernia. On my feet all day lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders and bending at the waist. Had a lot of pain while working and would have to keep one hand on area to quite the pain. Ordered this belt until I can get in for surgery. Not only has this belt allowed me to work all day without pain it has kept the area from getting worse. The fit is great and easy to use outside of boxer style briefs. Have found that while wearing pants with a belt causes pressure on damaged area so I use a cheap pair of suspenders hooked to my belt to keep the pants up without having to keep the belt on my pants to tight. With this combination I can work all day without pain. Great product. Hope this review helps someone. Not paid for this honest review.

Glad I bought this, had been hesitating for too long. Very effective at eliminating discomfort and symptoms of inguinal hernia. Lightweight and unobtrusive. Comfortable when sitting for long periods. I remove when going through airport security and put back on once through, but I doubt that it would be picked up (no metal etc). It feels and looks enough like a hidden gun holster that I don't want any confusion however. I would buy a size smaller than recommended for effectiveness. The pad is a bit smaller / round / hard edges than would be ideal, which requires optimum positioning. There is no guideline in the package, so I recommend experimenting for a few days before you decide it does / doesn't work for you. Biggest drawback is the awkwardness when urinating, very loud Velcro (but holds extremely well) and typically requires repositioning afterwards, but you figure out different techniques.

This was not purchased for me...but for my 85 yr old father in law so the info I have is somewhat minimal. However, over the years I have been involved with ordering trusses for him and the pricing on this one was about 1/3 of what he was used to paying. He says the support is there and he seems to find it comfortable- no wriggling- no complaints- AND, NO STOPPING AT THE AIRPORT SECURITY- His old trusses had metal and he was stopped every time he flew so was very pleased to go right thru on our last trip- I only saw the product briefly- seemed well enough made- Sorry I cannot offer more info but the best I can say is that if my father in law is happy, I am happy. :)

This is very comfortable to wear and easy to put on. However, the removable pad to keep the hernia in check is soft and flat and does not provide much 'push-back' to the hernia. My hernia is fairly large now and will likely require surgery soon, but this may work OK on a smaller hernia. The Uriel belt provides much greater resistance to the hernia.

I purchased this after seeing my doctor (I wasn't aware a product like this was offered). The support this provided allowed me to function and go about my activities almost completely normal. My doctor and I postponed my operation until the height of the pandemic was over. The support this belt provided allowed me to function (perform both at home and work tasks) until my operation could be scheduled. This product also provided recovery support after my operation - another critical issue. Easily washable - I washed it in our washing machine individually (only thing in the washer machine), set to a small wash load using warm water on gentle cycle with gentle detergent with excellent results even though the instructions say to hand wash. Highly recommended without hesitation - a lifer saver if ever there was one.

Got this due to occasional left side inguinal hernia that "pops out" on occasion. Device fits very well and is comfortable. The velcro flap on the wide "belt" portion that tighten the pad in place has a short area for the velcro to take hold. I needed it tighter and solved by having my wife sew on a large piece of velcro and it works great. Bottom strap of pad is adjustable to help tighten it if needed. Can insert additional soft foam pad beneath the device pad if even more padding is desired. Definitely recommend this device.

It looked like a good quality product. Probably could jump out of a plane it would still work. Sadly wrong size and sent it back. I should of ordered it larger

Perfect design and easy to use

I developed an inguinal hernia back in March. In Ontario elective surgery is delayed by COVID and I may have to wait months for this hernia to be repaired. It is serious enough to warrant concern: it has enlarged somewhat since. becoming apparent. I bought this truss hoping I could undertake light and moderate exercise without pain or undue worry. The product exceeded my expectations. While I avoid heavy lifting and have reduced the amount of weight I use for weight training (using wimpy 15 pound dumbbells), I can undertake necessary chores and light exercise comfortably and without feeling I am doing damage. Examples: lifting groceries and luggage; moving and paddling a kayak; planting shrubs in the garden; carrying firewood. Good product. Buy 2 so you have an extra one when doing laundry.
