The (Rite in the Rain Tactical Pocket Notebook) is one of the best multi-purpose tools I have used in a while, when it comes to taking notes in my profession, it can be a matter of losing and winning a case, for if it's not written down it didn't happen, and so with this notebook I am ensured that no matter the weather or circumstance I will always still have it safely written down and always able to read. The product is in fact water resistant, as I have tested it in the field and at home to see what it can handle. It fits perfect in my uniform shirt pocket and is easy to carry, I highly recommend this for anyone looking to keep what they write down protected, and safe. I think this pad is great, it did everything it said it would and more. I accidentally put it through the washer and dryer after leaving it in my pants and after a few days of drying it still worked great and was intact. it was a little deformed and some of my old notes did get a little washed out but what could you expect after it soaking in the wash and tumbling in the dryer.

I really like the size and durability of this little 'write in the rain' type of notepad. It is a perfect addition to my 72 hr. emergency go-bag.

In my inspection work I have to write down many readings, findings, dimensions, etc. So I always carry a pocket notebook. Started working more and more in hot humid areas (Southeast Asia). The standard paper notepads just don't cut it, even with plastic front/back covers. I through the course of a long day outside, I would sweat too much--the paper would absorb it and stick together in one giant page. So at the end of the day I would have to separate the pages and let them air dry. So I tried waterproof note pads. Found a Japanese product in Hong Kong that worked very well but the store only had one (paper seemed slightly better than Rite in the Rain). So decided to try Rite in the Rain. Reviewing all the different types--the pocket notebook appeared to be the best choice. Happy so far with it. Heard mention of special pens or mechanical pencils to be used--went with the Pilot G-2 gel-pen that I typically used and has worked fine. Will admit I haven't seen what happens to the gel ink when completely wet, but so far it is sweat-proof. Also got a yellow version. A few slight differences--tan has tan paper while yellow has the traditional white paper. To me very little difference but like the tan slightly better because less glare in bright sunlight. Both have faint vertical lines in addition to the usual horizontal lines. The tan version (inside front page) has various conversion factors which the "yellow" does not. So these are the small pluses why I like the tan version better. Fits in work shirt pocket with room to spare but not much--so maximum writing space and still easy to place and remove from the shirt pocket.

I've been using these notebooks for years and they're tough and reliable. They are extremely water resistant and hold up under conditions that would destroy a regular notebook. Regular notepads don't travel well in pockets and backpacks. They tend to fall apart fairly quickly. The Rite in the Rain pocket notebook takes the wear and tear with no problem. I'm in the Army National Guard and I take this notebook whenever I'm in the field. It can take a beating.

I go on hiking trips to rainy areas, and I love to take notes. This notebook stands up to the heaviest rain, and an ordinary pencil works just fine. A suggestion, though. Don't assume that "permanent" inks and markers won't wash off the special paper in the rain. If you want to use ink, try it out in the sink first__ I lost some notes to a rainstorm. So now I just keep a pencil stub in my pocket, and my notes are permanent.

I used it for wildland fire and its lasted me threw hard use wet to dry handfuls of times and held up like a champ would highly recommend getting it

L'immense force de RiTR c'est la multiplicité des modèles avec couleur assortie, type de reliure et type d'ouverture différentes, chacun trouvera carnet a sa main. Je n'hésiterai pas à en racheter d'autres de cette marque.

I've soaked it in water for 1 hour, and wrote on it, was just like writing on dry paper, and immediately i tried to smear it, but it wouldn't smear. The paper, rip just like normal paper. Mine had 51 pieces of paper. Paperclip: 1,9 g. 1 piece of paper: 0,88 g. Full weight without front and back cover: 46,78 (Threw them out before this review). 1 piece. of paper Weight after soaking in water and wiping the surface 1,2 g. Paper dimensions: 7,6 x 12,7 x 0,6 cm. (Without front and back covers).

Un taccuino dalle dimensioni ridotte che sta perfettamente in una tasca dei jeans. Tiene perfettamente la scrittura effettuata con matita HB, nessuna sbavatura o cancellazione. La matita, se accorciata al punto giusto, può essere riposta in alto fra gli anelli che tengono insieme i fogli. Nella parte interna della copertina frontale è stampato un righello in pollici e centimetri oltre ad alcuni utili consigli di utilizzo.
