Company seems to refuse to answer....is this bpa-free???

The Moby® Bath Mat does not contain materials that require BPA testing. All Skip Hop products are tested to meet or exceed ASTM, CPSIA, EN71, and applicable safety standards. We take safety very seriously and make it a point to follow all guidelines throughout our design process. We also use certified third-party labs to confirm our compliance, as they have the correct equipment and expertise to perform all tests according to the prescribed methodologies.

At what age can you start using this?

I started using it when my little was a very confident sitter. I used a bath seat until then. I’d say we started using it alone (meaning no assistance from a bath seat for sitting up) around 12-18 months.

How do you clean this? Is it machine washable?

The Skip Hop Moby Non-Slip Baby Bath Mat should be wiped clean with mild soap and water after each use and air dried in a well ventilated area.
