This is a fun game for trips. It's very compact. The game itself is easy to learn, yet provides enough strategy and critical thinking to keep you interested for multiple games in a row. A single game doesn't last very long, maybe 15-20 minutes. So, it's not a huge time commitment. It's great to keep in your carry on for lay overs at an airport or something to take on weekend getaways. It's also great because it's good for 2-6 people. If playing with only two people, I'd recommend trying each player has two pieces (kind of like a 4 player game). It'll make it more interesting.

I had heard about the original Deep Sea Adventure game on a podcast, as well as a few YouTube videos, so I decided to pick it up once I saw that an English version had come out. I'm so glad that I did! This game is amazing. Deep Sea Adventure is a push-your-luck game where you are trying to dive into the ocean to get as much treasure as possible, then make it out before you run out of air. But beware: you and your fellow divers all share an air supply that is counting down as soon as people start collecting the treasure! The more treasure you collect, the harder it is to resurface...and you only score points if you make it back to the submarine. I host a gaming group at my work, and we play mostly light to medium-weight games on Friday nights. The entire group loved this game. I was a little nervous about the playtime after I read in the rules that you play over 3 rounds (and some of my co-worker's attention spans are about 1/2 a round), but this wasn't an issue it all. Since the remaining air is determined by all the players, we all wanted to know who was doing what so we could try to maximize our points. Needless to say, everyone was completely immersed, and had a great time. We cheered at good die rolls, groaned when someone was too greedy...can't wait until we bust this game out again! I would say you could probably play this with a bright elementary-schooler with a little patience (the box recommends ages 8+), but being able to think through your moves and react to what others are doing is a pretty large part of the game, so bear that in mind. The component quality is outstanding. Each token and player piece, as well as the box are all very high quality. I wish more games would use the same durable satin finish on their cardboard tokens! Definitely a 10/10 for me and my gaming group!

I tried this game out and immediately purchased it. I have played it 5 times with a broad array of people in the past two days and it has been a hit every time. Here's why I love it: Small- If shelf space is a concern, you will love the tiny footprint of this game. It's like a cute little box of chocolates. Quality- The materials have a nice feel, made of wood and thick card stock. The box has a water proof sheen that gives you confidence dropping it in a bag to take on the go. Design- Rarely does a game hit the right note between being playful and sleek. I love the color palette, shapes of the pieces, and minimalist aesthetic. Mechanics - all the rules work well together. Rounds, dropping treasure, hopping players; all create a streamlined game experience. Theme- The game does a great job of marrying mechanics to theme. As the air meter drops, the drama cranks up and leads to many dramatic finishes where you'll be holding your breath. Depth of play- This simple little game allows for a surprising number of strategies. Deep Sea Adventure has me hooked and will keep me coming back for more from Oink Games.

First off, this is fantastic for travel because the box could easily fit into a back pocket. So bringing it on trips has been great. However, it is NOT a game that can be played in a car or plane because of lots of small, loose pieces. Second, it is very easy to teach. It's akin to a social game of chicken in that you're gauging your opponents in seeing who will "flinch" first and turn back at the risk of not collecting as much treasure as those who continue to press on forwards; however, if you press on too far you may run out of air and not make it back at all...dun dun dunnnn! I'm not going to go into rules details, but if you're considering this game, definitely youtube it.

My boyfriend and I discovered this game a year ago at our local brewery. We love playing it when we go there, but with Covid shutting things down I decided we should buy it. It's not a lot bigger than a deck of cards, and the perfect game to stick in my purse if we are going somewhere. You do need a flat surface to play on, though, so it's not great for the car. It's fairly easy to learn, and you can switch up the rules to add variety.

This is a great little game to take anywhere. It is small but designed well enough that the pieces don't feel like junk. For appearance and packaging I would give it a 5. Even the idea of the game is good. Simple rules, play is quick, and most people enjoy it at least a little bit. However, the game isn't perfect. It does get old quickly and while there is a lot of chance involved you can usually win if you pay attention to how your opponents play and then adjust your style accordingly. Then if they are smart and do the same to you the game scoring really drags to a halt as everyone tries to run the sub out of air before any players can make it back with loot...I've never been in a game where we ever made it anywhere near the extremely valuable loot at the bottom. That is really the only negative. Honestly, this is the type of game that everyone should own and keep around for those random moments where you need to kill a little time but not get too involved in what you are doing.

Played this game over the holidays with family and loved it. There were 5 of us playing, only one played previously. We all learned how to play in a few mins, easy instructions, but still a lot of fun to play. Plenty of strategy involved. I also love how compact and packable the game is. Makes it easy to take on trips. The meeples/divers are super cute with scuba tanks on their backs.

Juego muy bueno y entretenido, apto para todos y para echar unos buenos piques. Pequeño, no ocupa nada, perfecto para viajar. Viene en inglés pero solo la caja, dentro hay instrucciones en español y otros idiomas, fáciles de entender. Estan muy bien hechas todas las calidades, 100% recomendable.

J'ai testé avec divers amis, des joueurs et des moins joueurs, ça marche pour tout le monde! Même si y a un peu de stratégie, ça reste avant tout un jeu de dés. Ce jeux rentre littéralement dans une poche, très pratique. Même si c'est jouable à 2 joueurs, je ne le recommande pas tellement pour ça. A vos dès!

Wir haben Tiefseeabenteuer noch ganz neu, sind aber schon hin und weg. Die Regeln sind übersichtlich und einfach zu verstehen, das Spiel ist kurzweilig und macht viel Spaß. Nach einer Proberunde, in der wir alle versagt haben, hatten wir dann auch kapiert, welche "Strategie" man verfolgen sollte. Bisher haben wir zu viert (Erwachsene) gespielt, da vergeht eine Runde sehr flott, wir waren eigentlich immer schneller als die auf der Verpackung angegebenen 30 Minuten. (Es ist also eher ein "Lückenfüller" -Spiel und nichts, womit man stundenlang beschäftigt ist.) Ich hatte vor dem Kauf nicht auf die Produktmaße geschaut und war recht erstaunt, in was für einer winzigen Box das Spiel daherkommt - aber das ist absolut nicht schlimm, eigentlich im Gegenteil. Das Spiel ist super zu transportieren, passt in bestimmt fast jede Handtasche. Tiefseeabenteuer ist außerdem wirklich schön im Design und gut verarbeitet. Wir sind rundum zufrieden.

Deep Sea Adventure è un ottimo party game da giocare con gli amici: dal modico costo e di piccole dimensioni, lo si può portare ovunque e giocare in poco tempo; come in poco tempo lo si può riporre nella scatola, dopo aver urlato addosso al vostro migliore amico. Il Concept del gioco è molto semplice: dei sommozzatori (interpretati dai giocatori) devo scendere nelle profondità marine in cerca di tesori, ma a causa di un budget limitato essi condividono sia il sottomarino che la scorta di ossigeno. Nel gioco la cosa si traduce così: i giocatori dovranno camminare lungo un percorso formato da caselle, queste caselle possono essere capovolte per svelare un tesoro che il giocatore potrà prendere con sé, per poi portarlo al sottomarino per incassare il punteggio. Fino a qui tutto facile. Purtroppo ciò che rende il gioco una vera rogna è che ad ogni turno i giocatori consumeranno tot. cariche di ossigeno, in base a quanto stiano in profondità e a quanti tesori essi trasportano. Essendo la scorta di ossigeno in comune, è facile quindi che questa termini presto se in squadra c'è chi si carichi di tesori. Questo dettaglio essenziale sarà origine di numerose quanto accese dispute, poiché nulla impedisce al giocatore in vantaggio di fare l'infame e consumare tutta la scorta con azioni scellerate pur di intralciare gli avversari. Ovviamente si può anche giocare correttamente verso gli altri, ed evitare di cedere all'ingordigia. Ma dove sarebbe il divertimento?
