Aesthetically speaking, this umbrella light is rather attractive looking. I liked that you can attach it to the pole upside down to aim the light up and not down into people’s eyes. I also liked the bright and dim modes. Unfortunately, the power source to keep this thing operational is a major problem and it’s weakest feature which far outweighs all the positive features I previously mentioned. Upon receiving and setting it up a year ago July it worked great, until the batteries died which took about a year to take place as I hadn’t been using it all that often during the winter. I decided to start using it again once summer began this year but the original batteries I put in last year were dead. With the myriad of today’s gadgets all coming with their own USB charging cable, it’s hard to keep track of them all. I couldn’t find the USB recharging cable that came with the light, so I read the little brochure that came with it and that’s when my problem began. Everything in the product listing says the light takes 3 AA batteries, not rechargeable batteries. It only recommends using rechargeable AA’s for the purpose of saving money and the environment, but it doesn’t say you must use them. If manufacturer is going to provide a USB recharging cable for recharging batteries then they should disclose that rechargeable type batteries are a must. They should also disclose what specific type of rechargeable batteries to use..I.,e., either NIMH or some other type. Alkaline batteries are not rechargeable but they worked well for me initially. When I replaced the originals this year with fresh AA alkaline batteries the light wouldn’t work, and since I couldn’t locate the USB Recharging cable I decided to buy a AA battery recharger which only works with NIMH type rechargeable batteries. I know new battery charger was functional since it showed all my new rechargeable batteries had been charged to full capacity, but when I installed them in the umbrella light fixture, the fixture didn’t work. Now the light doesn’t work with either the NIMH or the regular alkaline batteries, so the entire thing is now totally worthless to me. I can’t explain why either type of battery won’t work, all I can do is provide you with my facts to help you decide.

This light was originally purchased for an end of autumn patio party. A few nights before we had placed this light around the top of the umbrella and faced it downward towards the table. The ring puts out quite a bit of light and covers the entire table with enough lighting and spreads to the people sitting in chairs. We had quite of bit of lighting from the outdoor fixtures and above head cafe lighting so this light was not going to be required for its original intended purpose. Then we had the idea to place the on the pole but under the table and facing upwards toward the glass table. We had a very thin orange plastic table covering and the light made the table cloth "glow" orange for a fall look!

Patio umbrella light this is great for putting underneath your umbrella on your porch or your patio the light is rechargeable it was very easy to install it is bright it is weatherproof and great for somebody that likes to spend time outdoors at night highly recommended

This is great. I like that it can be snap on. It's very durable and sturdy and using a disposal battery. It's a very bright light that I can sit by my pool. Its easy to put on and I like that it snaps open and than you lock it in place. It's great. I will buy another for my other umbrella. highly recommended.

Very easy to install. I'm a little concerned about the durability of the clamp, though. You have to take the light off to lower the umbrella, so you are clamping and unclamping it and the clamp seems to be very thin plastic. But so far no problem with it. Also, says you have to use rechargeable batteries but I'm not using the USB charger so just using regular batteries.

This has been so far one of the best things I have bought for my backyard entertainment, the brightness is perfect for those nights where we want to spend time outside with the firepit on, very easy to install, I am very happy with this product, definitely recommend it

I like this parasol.It comes in many different colors, but my most luminous color is yellow, because it determines the atmosphere of dinner and a glass of wine...But then my husband and I were old people.I think you can also use other colors to create a good party atmosphere.I especially like to make the light brighter or darker.I'm also grateful to have a remote control.I'm a very satisfied buyer.

I actually didn’t use this for an umbrella, I used it in our camping tent which fit perfectly into the netting to give us great lighting. Bought two and I’m very satisfied with the product.. not heavy at all.
