This Book Will Send the Reader to The Internet to ShopUnlike the last FLR tome I reviewed and found so lacking, this one will have the reader going straight to Amazon looking to buy some of the products discussed in this volume. In some ways it’s like an advertising for shopping for S&M products, clothing and toys.It’s also interesting that it took until page 66 before the author defined “Gentle Dominance.” “Gentle Dominance” is the author’s preference to “Strict Dominance” which is what most people consider Female Dominance Relationships. Most men would probably prefer the former rather than the more painful and humiliating latter. However, everyone is different and has their personal preference, even if they don’t totally understand it themselves.The author suggests that it was her male lover/husband (?) who introduced her to his desire to be dominated. She feels this is usually the case. She also feels that a woman would need to be crazy not to accept her would-be slave’s attempt to serve and worship her. Like most women in Female Led Relationships, the author says that most women will love being the dominant in a FLR.This is definitely a page-turner of a guide book for lucky women.

This book... I wish it had come out a few decades ago, when My Love brought this to me. The author explains everything SO WELL. I now understand what I've been missing all these years, and My Love too. The rest of our marriage will be FLR. No looking back. I can't thank the author enough.

I read this with my girlfriend and we both learned a lot. We were living a FLR lifestyle and didn't know it. I also did other research on the Internet and found similar thoughts on practical FLR. At the end, the author goes a bit too far for our comfort. However, I realize there are some couples that go outside their marriage; not us. We both like the concept and application of FLR and so far it works well for us. The book provided both of us many good examples of male and female behavior and why we do what we are. The book simply makes sense. Even if you are not interested in FLR, this book gives insight into both sexes and how we interact with one another as couples.

I’m new to the FLR so I had lots of questions. This book did a great job of answering all those questions and get me excited about trying it out.

"Practical FLR: A Woman's Guide to Gentle Dominance" is anything but practical, not really all that much about FLR or "gentle dominance," and not actually written with women in mind.Really, the book is just a relatively lengthy (23 chapter) progression of increasingly extreme (male) bedroom fantasies, starting with a little low-key tease and denial and quickly escalating to sissification, long-term chastity, cuckolding, slave contracts, and hardcore BDSM scenes.Look, I love me some good, clean, kinky fun as much as the next guy, but if you are a submissive male who is actually trying to gently introduce the woman in your life to FLR, this is *not* the book for you (unless of course she's a total freak in the sack and for some reason forgot to tell you.) Simply put, this book is going to put most women off the entire concept of FLR.I'm actually pretty convinced that this book was written by a dude, who typing one-handed (if you know what I mean). This would make sense, because it's also just a typographical mess--the author has absolutely no command of basic punctuation, sentence structure, etc.Overall, it's just a a sloppy effort. If you want an introductory book on FLR that will actually potentially turn your woman on to the idea, instead of make her feel like a potential extra in your kinky little sex play, I'd recommend "The Hesitant Mistress" by Dvanna Hightower.

This is an excellent book for developing a deeper intimacy in any relationship. It has much to offer anyone interested in more open discussion and sharing of ideas, feelings and needs within relationships. Very well written !

While I agree with the name Gentle Dominance, a majority of this book describes total submission on his part inside and outside the bedroom including chastity device and giving up being a man with him in a feminine way. This reads more like Severe dominance to me. I agree a female lead relationship can be positive if it is done in a gentle way and not take away his manhood but serve as a leader.

Wanted to try something new and this book gave so much more information than others available.Worth the purchase!!
