My conures are very picky and it was very hard to get them to a pellet food but they took to this one without any issues. Now their feathers are more vibrant and they are more playful, and overall happy and healthy. I love this feed as it's not nearly as messy as seeds and they don't waste it like other brands. The bag seems small but it last 2 birds almost a month and the ziplock style bag keeps it fresh so definitely will keep buying it! Great Value for my Money!

This has been part of a semi-staple food in two of my Starling's diets (please do more research if you are feeding a Starling because they will need much more substance than this alone). My Cockatiel and parakeets like the "ground" up feed I make and the Pineapple Conures will eat some in a pinch.

I was hoping that my young hand fed birds would take to this as an early weaning food. They do eat it but they don't quite "dig" it, if that makes sense. I had to mix with other pelleted food. It does do well when mixed with a little warmed up chop mix. Also, my actual breeder birds who are used to pelleted food do consume it readily to feed to their babies in the nest. The babies in the nest are strong and healthy. The "crumble" sizing is highly variable. Some are like half of a mini pellets, some is almost like dust. If I had to do over I would choose the mini pellets for my breeder green cheek conures and weaning babies.

I’ve been using Roudybush for my parrots for 20 years with excellent results! All my birds stay in perfect feather and good health. More importantly they love it and eat it well. For those new to it, check the company website for information not found on the bag, and help choosing the right formula for your specific bird. For instance, My Greys get 2/3 Maintenance mixed with 1/3 High Energy Breeder to give them the extra calcium they require. I also suggest starting with a smaller pellet size than suggested. We had a lot of waste with the recommended medium size, but have no waste with the small size for my Greys and Amazon’s. It’s expensive to buy direct due to shipping, so I buy from Amazon and Chewy. The true answer to what’s the best pellet diet is “the one your bird will eat”! All of mine love Roudybush!
