Fantastic product, nice bundle
My old 5-year-old wireless headset (which I loved) from another vendor just died, and I bought the CS50/HL10 bundle based on the reviews. It doesn't disappoint.I work a computer job, typing and talking every day. And sometimes I like to get a cup of coffe in the middle of a conference call, so having a wireless unit is very nice. The CS50 headset is very lightweight, and comfortable to wear over the head. I don't like over-the-ear phones so didn't even try that option. The headset is completely self-contained; that means no wire to a belt unit that snags on doorknobs! The CS50 has good range, the signal goes through walls, and I notice little to no interference with other wireless phones or electronics in the building. There are separate volume controls for the earpiece and the microphone; both take some tweaking the first time you use it. The earpiece volume is on the headset, so it's easy to adjust mid-conversation. The earpiece also has a mute button that turns off your microphone to handle interruptions. The HL10 handset lifter is awesome. If you're away from your desk and the phone rings, you hear a beep in your ear and push a button on the headset. The remote lifter picks up the phone's handset and you're talking. The HL10 does require that you have a business-style phone with the dial pad on the base -- not on the handset! I have an AT&T 2-line phone that will answer whichever line is ringing when the handset is lifted -- and that's the reason they have made this unit the way it is, so it works in any business phone environment. (The CS50 base unit plugs in between the phone's base and handset, and does not have its own number pad.) If you don't have the HL10, you take the phone off the hook manually for each call with the CS50.For comparison, my previous wireless unit had a weak handset lifter that almost died before the wireless unit did. This HL10 is snappy when lifting the handset, and I can tell it's going to be much more durable mechanically. The HL10 also has a much smaller footprint, taking up no desk space. My only complaint is that the power on LED is solid red, and the charging light is flashing yellow. Because of the "stop light" association, both colors trigger a "slow down, something must be wrong" reaction at first, but I'm getting used to it. In my opinion, the power light should be solid amber or green and charging light flashing green or solid amber. That's a minor aesthetic complaint though. The product works exactly as expected, and is much smaller and lighter than I expected. When I bought this bundle, considering the free shipping, Amazon was only $10 more than the cheapest price I found online, which was on eBay. So for peace of mind I chose Amazon.com over saving $10. It arrived quickly in good packaging, and I've been using it every day since.

Works fine but seriously expensive and battery compartment sucks
The title says it all. This is a second time purchase for someone in our office who uses it daily. They work for a long time but when they go, they go.And the battery compartment is an exercise in frustration to open and close. They could do MUCH better on that.

Works hap-hazardly on some phones...
These devices have pleased many in our office. However, there seems to be difficulty with one of the devices in a specific location (we've purchased 4 over the last 6 months). After swapping the device with others of the same model, changing locations to elliminate possibilities, it seems as though it is susceptible to interference from other, as of yet unidentified, wireless devices. On more occasions than not, it requires multiple attempts at depressing the button on the earpiece before it will turn on and pick up the handset on the telephone. Again, we have swapped the device with many identical devices in that location to learn that it is only in this location that the problem exists. The same device, even after swapping it out, does not exhibit this issue when installed in any other location.Sugestions would be appreciated. Techs say there is nothing wrong with the device (which I think I agree with). But no other help could be offered.

Great product but.....
I purchased this for a business and I've had great success with this item in the past. It's well made, easy to install and easy to use. I've always had great luck with this type of product by Plantronics. The only issues I have is that you have to ensure you have the right type of phone to support this. I made the mistake of not checking the phone system before I bought it. You have to have a phone line cord and an input line which powers the unit to lift the receiver of the phone, and then an outlet for the power to the headset unit. My work phone didn't have the input line to lift the handle which means its essentially worthless to me at the moment. I ave to purchase a new phone in order for this system to work. The only other thing is the life span of the headset. I've had this unit at every job I've ever had and it really only lasts about 6 hours before it starts to wane. You'll also find that if you're in a corporate office, the distance range might be a bit different because of the interference with the bluetooth. The vendor shipped this very quickly and took care to protect it for shipping. I knew that I wanted this item so I didn't contact them for a return. I'm assuming that they would have worked with me had I decided to return it.

Device went bad in less than a year
It worked fine for several months, all of a sudden a crackling noise is constant and the other party cannot hear me. The worst part is that I do not know how to get a replacement, sicne I bought thru Amazon. I will need to buy a new one since there is no information in my order that tells me who will replace the defective device.

Wireless Headset
We have used the same product for several years and it finally failed. I have ordered 2 new Plantronics HL10 Handset Lifter Accessory replacements from Amazon from 2 different suppliers. Both new units fail to work properly and do not have more than about 20' of range when working. I am going to order a 3rd one from yet another supplier to get this project completed. We only need one that works. The customer service to purchase was fine. I would like to return both faulty units.Keith Jessup, Advanced American Construction, Inc.Purchasing Manager
