We needed 3 gabions in total but decided to order 1 first to ensure it served our purpose and it's a good thing we took this approach. We wanted 3 - 11' gabions for our back yard filled with rip rap.First we found that the instructions or lack-there-of existed but in fairness putting them together this is pretty cut & dry. From an overall foundational standpoint, the fact that this unit has no bottom is a huge design flaw. We made certain it was on a level foundation and then started filling it with 4-6 inch rip rap. The unit started to bulge out at every seem plus it began to lean forward so we anchored it with 1/2" rebar driven 16" into the earth.Save your $200 and put it towards a sturdy gabion with a top and bottom and constructed with a thicker gauge steel as we did!!

This was so easy to build and I have gotten so many compliments on the wall already.

This was an easy product to assemble and the result turned out wonderful. I filled the gabion over about a 4 week period; gathering stones and filling them gradually. I couldn’t be happier with the result!
