How did you get it to curve around pedestal / toilet?

Did not use it for that, it was used in a shower

Is it possible to paint over? It’s ideal for a project I have but I need to also paint the area.

No I don’t think it would work, it’s shiny and bendy I don’t think the paint would stay on it, we took it off our toilet after 2 days as it didn’t stay on it started to fall off, it’s just not sticky enough.

Do you have to remove the old sealant first?

If you mean old silicon sealant I didn’t remove, I just made sure it was clean and dry before I fitted the sealant strip , which looks amazing and is very neat. Gives a great ‘finished’ and professional look.

Can it be applied over freshly applied silicone in a bathroom? Does it stick well?

It sticks pretty well but its important to degrease and thoroughly dry the area before using. If you stick it on top of fresh sealant then it will only stick as well as the sealant that you have applied!
