these are easy and hold the towel on to rails pretty well IF(!) you double up your towel. that means that the portion of the towel that sits in the clip needs to be two layers thick, otherwise it won't hold the rail.Other than that, it holds on well and helps the towels dry more quickly than if you draped it over the rail. Simply draping it over causes only one side to dry. With the clips you can get the whole towel to be exposed to the sun/breeze. You can even start strategically placing the towels around the boat for privacy or sun shade.update: After more usage, I discovered that the larger size can be a feature. One clip holds two ends of two towels. So if you have two towels, you only need 3 clips. Three towels? 4 clips (instead of 6)! Changed my review to 5 stars. I wish I had ordered orange or something that can be more easily seen. Now I have black clips sitting in a dark, black cubby.

We love these clips for use on the boat, that are very easy to use and hold the towels in place while docked or anchored down. Will hold the towel secure from wind or letting them slip off the boat into the water. These are a must have for any boater.

They have made the inside diameter larger and they do not fit as snug as they did before. I have some that are 5 years old next to the new ones and the old ones fit and hold MUCH better. Don't think I would buy them again if they stay like this...

I ordered the 1" clips for the 1" poles on my Bimini top, they were very loose and came right off and fell in the lake. I contacted the seller and and told them what had happened, they responded right away and told me I needed the smaller ones. They sent me the ones I needed at no charge.

I have them, but I haven't had opportunity to put to put to use,.

They look suspiciously like short pieces of PVC or ABS pipe. .

Works perfectly on the bimini top.

Smaller than I imagined but does the job.
