WONDERFULLY EXCITING READ~
I truly enjoyed this book! Freda has a writing style that reads like experiencing a recollection being shared by a friend. There is a vulnerability that the author shares that is revealing in a good way. I think that if you have chosen to read this book, you are already open to the idea of reincarnation and/or past lives so the sharing so freely of this information will deepen your understanding of this phenomenon. In reading this book I felt like I was going on the journey with Freda as she described her very personal experience about her past lives, karma and how it all tied in with George Eliot. I don't want to ruin anyone's reading experience by giving too much away however there were many points in the book where I was just like, blown away, as in "wow!" blown away. It was the conversation Freda had with George Eliot. How is that possible? You'll have to read to find out because obviously, she couldn't pick up the phone and get that one done! One of the other memorable moments in the book is when Freda shares her past life reading that she received from a WELL-KNOWN professional in this field of work. I will say that my personal opinion is you will not be disappointed if you decide to read this book.

she and my Sister are very good friends, often calling themselves Sisters
I was quite intrigued when I heard about this book. Freda, the Author of this book is a longtime friend of my family, she and my Sister are very good friends, often calling themselves Sisters. So, for this reason, I decided to read Karma Road: Walking Through Time with George Eliot. I have to admit that I have never gave reincarnation, parallel lives, or anything closely related to it a second thought. With that being said, the parallels between Eliot and Freda are remarkable! I wanted to keep reading just to see what else would unfold. Also, Freda has a way of bringing every person to life...I felt as if I was right there in that era! This was such an amazing read that I started reading it one evening and did not want to put it down! I was forced to lay it aside, as I have to get up at 2:30 a.m. for work. The next day, a storm left us with no power, so I finished reading my book using a kerosene lantern!

A profound journey in expansion of consciousness
Fascinating reading! A light circle (“spirit orb”), serendipitously attached to a book in her library, triggered a profound journey in “Expansion of Consciousness” of Freda Chaney, the author of “Karma Road.” Freda, an accomplished writer, skillfully lets the reader participate in the richness of lessons she learned when she researched the life and work of George Eliot, the author of “Mill on the Floss,” the book to which the orb was attached. With astonishing literary excellence, she introduces the reader to the most famous writings of George Eliot, to the principle of reincarnation and karma, leading up to her own dramatic, life-changing insights gained from this multi-year research experience. The circumstance that Freda found herself as reincarnated Goerge Eliot, on a Karma Road determined to uncover a life saving "karmic knot," is almost secondary to the fascination with which she presents her experiences.A “must read.” You will not want to put this book down!

A stunning story in a beautiful book!
Karma Road by Freda M. Chaney was hard to put down! It's a captivating story of parallel lives and synchronicity. To be able to read a first hand account of the author's exploration of George Eliot's life and reincarnation was a real page turner for me. I found Dr. Chaney's style drew me in and held my attention through the whole book and even the appendix! How many authors do that?! Not to mention it's a beautiful book and the photos from both Chaney's home and Eliot's really brought more life to the story. I was on the fence about reincarnation and parallel lives, and after reading the book I'm ready to go get a past life regression!

George Eliot a "coach" of life
This book is a walk through time with George Eliot from the standpoint of the author’s personal experience. The author tells how specific works of George Eliot awaken in her synchronicities, or parallels, in relation to her own life. In exploring autobiographical parallels, the author considers Eliot as a writer who reflects a broad spectrum of human feeling, thought, aspiration, and courage, and in whom others might discover a “coach” of life.

so...NOW i'm a believer
I just finished Ms Chaney s book," Karma Road", i've never been a believer in reincarnation, living a past life, or anything close to parallels . (did i spell that right? lol ) But i picked it up and started reading with an open mind, and curiosity got the best of me, i was captured! I couldn't put it down, wanting to hear more. The similarities were amazing! I could envision each scene described and see myself back in the time and what George Eliot was like, very well written and interesting. I went on a trip today to Amish country, my brother drove so i had time to finish the book as we traveled! I could sense the relation/parallels in each chapter, and found my self saying "hmm, maybe this really does happen , after all i do believe in angels, so why not? I've felt a time or two like i've been here before! ", I was amazed how their lives were so similar , i was intrigued and read on and on, way past 1a.m! every night ! , but Chapter 19 really got to me , and i found tears running down my cheeks! Many times i sat there smiling or laughing out loud! When you read it you will understand because it was so sweet and i felt much of what Freda was feeling , as i have daughters. It was very nice that in the back of the book, Freda describes what the meanings are, and what each similarity to George Eliot is in a list to review , and its just amazing to me how many there are . I never thought about it before, but i will be paying attention more closely to things now! And i now have an open mind on re-incarnation and living a past life........great book! You will not be disappointed! Sit back , have a cup of English Tea perhaps, and enjoy! (and don't forget the camera!!)Sharon Myers-Hall......Ohio
