While the exact length will be 45.75in from pin to pin, we refer to these tubes as having a 4ft nominal length simply as a general reference to the length of the tubes. Please also note that the ballast MUST be bypassed and the fixture MUST be rewired as a dual-ended connection in order for our LED Tubes to work. Q: The bulbs i'm replacing are fluorescent 5000 lumens, but this and all of the other led bulbs seem to be 3000 lumens. why is that?

5000 lumen fluorescent bulb? Are you sure it is not 5000 kelvin? which is a measure color or whiteness? LED replacement bulb is almost always brighter(more lumens). These bulbs are very bright, although they are frosted.
