Metal Man ATEC8735SGC 9-13 Variable Shade Professional Auto-Darkening Welding Helmet, Techno Skull

I am new to welding and had trouble seeing the work using a fixed shade helmet. This Metal Man helmet looks great, works very well, is comfortable and most important I can see what I am going to weld. The response time is instantaneous. I have been practicing and I am getting the hang of welding all because I can see the work. This helmet is a bit flexible and may not stand up to professional use, I'm not sure if that is important but want to put that out there. If it was more rigid it would be heavier. I would buy this again.

Great welding hood! Light weight,big view, low price. No complaints about this hood metalman welding hoods have lasted me a long time and cover lenses and replacement parts dont cost too much either

I have to say I was skeptical about buying a welding helmet from Amazon, but I am super glad that I did because this metal man welding helmet is awesome. I mig weld 8hrs a day building frames and this helmet has held up never flashed me works like a charm. I would definitely recommend this helmet to anyone mig welding.

Really like how light it is compared to the one my job provided me with. So much more comfortable to wear. Not a fan of how it doesn't auto dark sometimes, and I just got it over the weekend. I position myself the same way Everytime and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Also wish the delay was instantaneous, would make going from one weld to the next easier. Other than that I like it and will continue to use it

Bought this as a last minute Christmas gift for my husband. Was nervous about it being here by Christmas Eve but was very impressed with their shipping process. When the package arrived I was a little worried due to how light the package was but wrapped it up and when my husband opened it up Christmas morning he was in shock. The product is amazing and so light weight. My husband loves the helmet.

This helmet is awesome.It works as good as any other helmet, with the shade and sensitivity settings it's great.Lots of compliments on it also.

Face shield material is thicker than cheaper versions. Headgear is solid and definitely more comfortable than others. Good viewing area, auto darkening lense assembly is made by the same company that supply's the high end companies with their lense units. Graphics are a matte finish and well done. I'm glad I went with this one for sure.

Best welding helmet I've had so far. The viewing area is perfect for my hobby needs and the 4 sensors make sure the switching time is fast no matter where I'm looking. And, I like the solar panel that recharges the battery while you're welding......gotta love technology! The skull graphics is also pretty wild and definitely gives the helmet an eerie look, I like it. Highly recommend this helmet!
