This lid is 100000% worth it! It makes maintaining your fish tank SO much easier!I personally did not install the included lights as I had my own lights, but it seems like the included lights would be just as easy to install.The lid is durable, it holds the weight of my large cat whenever he decides to jump on top of my tank.The lid itself was a bit confusing to install, but it was worth the hassle. Make sure you double read the instructions so you don’t end up frustrated like I did.It fits perfectly and it functions as advertised. If you’re thinking about buying this, just do it. Your sanity will thank you!!

This is exactly what I needed to replace my old tank top. I would advise future buyers to ensure they order the right size.

Very nice aquarium lid and lighting

I bought this for a blackwater setup, I replaced the light and heater that come with it. They work as backups but I most wanted the kit for the tank and the lid. Holds water. What more can you ask lol

As you can see by the price, these hoods are not cheap I have written to the company on two different occasions, asking for a replacement string of lights, they do not sell them, and they will not give them to meI bought this hood, November 2020 it is now January 2024. I find it ridiculous that the company expects me to throw out this whole plastic hood just because of a string of lights. Especially since their website has a whole sustainability.They have told me twice to buy their hook on to the frame light. If I wanted such a contraption, I would not have ordered the tetra hood with the lights on it.I have four tanks. All of them have tetra hoods needless to say if any others break, they will not be replaced with a tetra hood.I am thoroughly disgusted that they have a sustainability statement, but I’m supposed to throw away a plastic hood that will be around for decades to come all over a string of lights.

This item was a perfect fit for my 20 gal aquarium. I especially liked the adapters that came with it to allow it to be hinged on the back lip of the tank.

Fits my tank well and easy to install

Left it right in a puddle of water it was soaked and wet on one side but thank God the product was still good
