Just right for me
I've ordered these before, and all arrived in good shape, but if I ever have a problem, I have no doubt that Amazon will take care of me - they always do. The price is amazingly low, and shipping is free. I can't see any down side here for the casual collector. If I was rich, I guess I could do better, but I ain't....I love old movies, and since I'm on disability (thus income-challenged), I can't buy all the great re-mastered sets that are available these days. So I mostly burn DVDs from Turner Classics, 2 or 3 per disc. If you're not a quality fanatic, that's a fine way to collect lots and lots of very watchable copies to view whenever you're in the mood for them.Old guys like me used to be limited to whatever oldies were available on VHS (not many out there), and even the cheapest VHS versions were fairly expensive. Videotapes took up way too much space, didn't last very long, and were difficult to store and browse through. Plus, the original quality of the more inexpensive tapes usually ranged from poor to awful. Copying was not an option, so if I loaned them out, I risked never getting them back.Shoot, DVD copies are heavenly for an old movie fan like me, and I've managed to assemble almost 2500 titles over the last seven or eight years. The only problem was finding a practical and economical way to store them. These particular slim double DVD boxes are of excellent quality. They offer me the best protection in the smallest space, they rarely break, and they are an absolutely terrific value for my purposes. I put my DVDs together in a few basic film categories, write the contents on index cards that I Scotch tape to the front, then store them in any old cheapo boxes, which I label by category. They're easy to flip through on a late night search for whatever I'm after at the moment, and they're easy to move or reorganize when the necessity arises.Like I said, if you've got more money, I'm sure you can find better ways to do it. But frankly, I think you're going to pay a LOT more money for very little improvement in protection and convenience. Every system has its own problems - jewel cases are expensive and break easily, paper sleeves are cheap but barely adequate, thicker single boxes take up much more space and even the most expensive ones have the same problems with spindle/clamps and clear plastic covers holders. And there are some brands on double cases, especially slim ones, on the market today that are cheap pieces of... well, you know. But I've found this particular brand to be very sturdy and well-constructed. My dogs ate a couple of them, but that's hardly the manufacturer's fault (and the DVDs actually survived). Otherwise, I've had no problems at all, and I'd recommend them highly, especially if you order them directly through Amazon.

buy from SuperMediaStore!
There are a few different storefronts selling these here at Amazon, but SuperMediaStore takes extra care in it's packaging. I've read reviews where people got their cases and they were damaged, weakened, and/or warped. SuperMediaStore sent these to me in perfect condition - not one even slightly damaged piece in the set. As such, there are no bad things to say about these cases. They are the most space-efficient size out there - 7mm, and Americopy makes them as durable as the thicker 9mm cases from other brands. The disc clips and the case-locking clips are all top quality and not flimsy and loose like other brands I've tried. They aren't tough enough for carrying them around all the time, but if you want to archive a large amount of discs at home for any reason, then these are perfect.

Product shipped supper fast, but about half of the cases were damaged
I purchased these for my photography business. Wanted to use them to give a photo discs, but when they arrived about half of the cases had torn sleeves... I don't provide crappy service to my clients, so I won't be using half of these crappy cases. If you are looking at purchasing these cases, expect some damaged goods. You're really buying only 50 cases and throwing away the rest....

Not too happy with product. Very much confusion over who made and who sells. When I went to review the product I see a totally different vendor. That's not too surprising since I bought them in Aug 2012. I don't mind paying a little more for a little bit better quality control. First it seems that a lot of these are made from recycled plastic, hence the smell of burnt carbon and thin spine area making them prone to warping or cracking. Manufactured by Americopy and sold by FantasyBuy jeez I had to pay $14+ in shipping/handling. I see the latest vendor that was linked to my purchased product Electronix Express and manufactured by Generic(is this for real). Anyway I lost 8-10 due to cracking in two; then I had 45-50 warped cases in which one of the hubs could not latch on to the disc, so I used these for years as a single case that maybe someday may have a companion disc it storing would help correct the warp over time-which it has for maybe a dozen or so. I hate snapping the case closed and hear one of the discs has 'popped loose. If there are manufacturers using new plastic please help us find them but at this stage we have to assume these are all made of recycled plastics. I found [single] cases where the manufacturer claims that new materials only are used and these are just fine and of course they cost a bit more. Also someone out there might want to drop the quantity to 50 for better survival in shipping. Doubt I will ever buy again unless I can find new material offered.
