now I actually use the backyard pool
I've been very pleased with my stretchy cord, using it 5 or 6 times now in my backyard pool. I've always liked swimming and with this item I can actually get some use out of the pool that my wife wanted so bad. I set a small post in the ground outside the ~8 ft deck area and the longer cordz has worked out well. If possible I would recommend securing the cord to something in the pool like a ladder or rail (mfg recommends as well) as mine rubs on the flagstone edge of the pool which will probably shorten its life. However the post outside the pool area works well for me and the cord is cheap enough that I'll just replace it if it wears out. I've been using several other swimming accessories I already owned with the cordz, and would recommend these in order of most important first to get more out of swimming in place: - pull buoy - swimmers snorkel (helpful but takes some getting used to) - kickboard - tempo trainer (adjustable beeps, one for each stroke)

Longer than I thought but great product
StretchCordz, please make a note of this. The main reason for buying a swim chord is for when your pool is not long enough to do laps. Remember most backyard pools average an 24 ft (7.3 m) in longitud and the chord is 20 feet but stretches. Well, this is a great invention and I believe is a much better work out than swimming because there is resistance involved and it's endless. It works better in my opinion while attached to something at least a meter higher above the water, such as a stainless steel pool ladder or hand rail, so the chord won't hit your feet while kicking. The belt goes around the waist and you can swim any style you want, even butterfly ! The only thing was the chord was too long for my pool and the Short Resistance Training Belt looked too short and with no padding on belt. So I had to cut it shorter and re-tie it. I was skeptical at first thinking that it would slip but it just works great. So StretchCordz, please just make a medium version of the long belt, it's a no-brainer.

Too small
The waistband is very small and my husband can’t use it. Also, the return window closed in 30 days

Great product--but really long!
Great product! We have a relatively small pool (too small for laps) and my girlfriend wanted to work out via swimming. She loves this product. Buyers should know the cord is reeeeaaaaalllly long so you need to have someplace far away to use to secure it. Unless you have a really long pool, you won't just be able to secure the non-belted end to the pool umbrella pool. We have a covered deck near the pool and I found a beam under one open section of the ceiling to use to secure the non-belted end. And, you can't cut the cord to make it shorter. So, plan accordingly.

Great in small pools
I seldom need flip turns in triathlons. this allows me to just get a real swimming workout. there may be a buoyancy issue since there is no forward motion over the water but it is minor 2 me. I use it outdoors in summer sun and the rubber tubing rots after a year or so. I've been able to repair that but I always have a spare available. much cheaper than an endless pool and I can vary my strocks and speed without hitting the walls in front or back.
