EGO Power+Battery and Charger Kit BA1400 56V 2.5Ah Lithium-Ion Battery Set

Started mowing the grass for the second time ever and again the battery dies within 4 passes. Showed that the battery was completely dead. Took the battery out and pushed the button to show battery life and it showed half full. So I went in the house and put it on the charger. It looked like it was going to charge, and then it didn't and there was a red light on the back of the charger. Left it for awhile and still not charging. I heard so many great things about the product and brand, however, I'm not m pressed. If this the problem with these types of lawnmowers, I rather go back to Electric and deal with the cord or gas. Battery is garbage

Exact replacement, old battery won’t charge, I left old one on charger past the full charge time frame! Killed it!!!!

Using it for only a leaf blower it works well

The charger worked fine although there was always a hint of hot plastic when it was charging, indicative of a component running very hot. Apparently that component failed right in the middle of leaf blowing season. Thinking I'll move my yard equipment to BadBoy from Ego. The Bad Boy series zero turn mower is all steel instead of plastic and charges the batteries on-board. Don't need to take up space with external chargers. 5 yr warranty should be required on all battery equipment, batteries and charges. The seller offers no info regarding warrantee or defective or failed device returns for replacement or refund. Amazon could do more for its customers by requiring all vendors to offer a minimum of a 2yr warrantee regardless of the manufacturer warrantee. I've purchased electronics from Chinese vendors via Amazon and ever after several years the Chinese companies provided full replacement with latest unit for no charge, just need to show proof of purchase. This is the way it should be... seems US firms are happy to screw over customers. Amazon could do more for at least prime members, haha.
