Best Every Day Carry Pilot G2 Metal Click Pen
I've now owned several of these pens, and they are easily my favorite pens of all time. At $30 as of the time of writing this, this is the best option on the market if you like Pilot G2 refills. There are plenty of good metal pens; however, limiting that to those that work well with the Pilot G2 creates a very small or expensive list. The pen itself has a great feel. When they are brand new, the mechanism may have a grindy feel. However, that goes away fairly quickly with use. You can also add some mineral oil to the mechanism to get rid of that. I've noticed the pens are now shipped with mineral oil in the mechanism which is great to see. The click itself has a satisfying tactile feel. The clicker isn't floppy after extending the ink, which is a small but nice feature thanks to the additional top clicker spring. If you care about the balance, or are into pen spinning, this pen is wonderfully symmetrical and has just the right thickness. The pen is a bit short for dedicated spinning pens; however, I find the length and diameter perfect to fit in a pocket and for writing use. The tactile feel of the grip area is nice. I've had overly textured pens in the past, knurled, or custom machined grips -- they are interesting novelties, but I find too much texture becomes an aggravation and annoyance after a while. A straight shaft with basic grooves is best. The bead blasted surface feels nice. The clip is strong, and rarely deforms. In the rare situations where I've damaged the clip, it's easily disassembled with a T5 screwdriver, bent, then reassembled. I've never lost one of these two screws after reassembly. The clip opening works well for sliding this over fabric and into a shirt or pocket. Not too stiff, not too weak. As the outer surface of the pen gets wear and tear, a brass patina will start to come out at the edges. I personally think this looks good. If you have access to a laser etcher, you can get a striking contrast in color that looks really good. The only issue I've had with the pen is the clicker cap has become unscrewed and lost on a few of the pens I've owned. Thankfully I found it in at least one case. Lastly, I've had a great experience with their customer service. It's always great to work with a company that is responsive and takes care of their customers. As some background, I've carried a Pilot G2 ink for 30 years. My personal favorite is the 0.5mm black ink. This all started while working retail in my teens -- your pen is one of your most prized and mandatory possessions in those environments. After that, a long career as an engineer means you need a pen to annotate CAD drawings or to jot down ideas. Because the Pilot G2 is plastic, I have a graveyard of pen husks with broken clips. For the last decade, I've invested stupid amounts of money into metal pens that take Pilot G2 refills. Many of these were bespoke, limited runs, or luxury pens. Unfortunately, unless that pen sits in one spot on your desk forever (and you don't have kids), you're going to lose every pen you buy. This is especially true if you're carrying it around every day. I no longer see the value in buying a pen for more than $30 if I'll lose it every 6 months.

Great Pen; Better Support
Great pen. The weight is solid and the grip is comfortable. I was not a fan of the included ink, but with the included adapter, I was able to switch out for G2 cartridges and rolled on. The black on the clip wears off on the edges, but to me, it just creates a nice patina. After using the pen (with many hours of nervous clicking) the (plastic) clicker mechanism broke. I emailed support and within five minutes received a reply. Support gave me steps to access the damage, then followed up with confirmation of replacement parts being sent free-of-charge.

Update
There is much to love about this pen. The brass is beautiful. The grip diameter is 0.420" which I think is perfect. The machined grooves in the grip make it easy to hold onto. It is VERY heavy at 1.8 oz, which makes it easy to write with. The clip is well made and durable. But there are some bad things too. The twist mechanism is stiff. There was substantial clearance between refill and body when the refill was extended, causing unacceptable amount of wobble. I felt it anytime I wrote. There was far more clearance than in other pens I own. I'd hoped it was just a problem with the Grafton brand refill, which is styled like a Parker G2. When I replaced it with an actual Parker, or Faber Castell refill, it was a disaster. Neither would fit into the twist mechanism. They must have been a few thousandths too big. That was a deal breaker for me. I returned the pen (thank you, Amazon, for your amazing return policy) and have a 2nd pen coming tomorrow. I deeply hope that the first pen was a quality control anomaly, and that the tip wobble and refill interference will be solved. If so, my rating will go from a 2 to a 5. Stand by for an update in the next day or so. But tonight, I'm deeply disappointed. --- update ---Amazon replaced the first pen and it is somewhat better. There is less clearance between pen tip and refill, and that helps quite a bit. The problem with the Parker refill sadly still remains. A standard Parker refill will not fit into the twist mechanism. I took one of my Parker refills and filed and sanded its non-tip end down about 0.005" and it works perfectly. I hope Everyman can fix this tolerance problem, because it is otherwise an excellent pen. Because the tip wobble on this pen is so much better, I've upgraded the review from 2 to 4 stars.

One of the best pens I’ve ever bought
This is probably the smoothest writing best balanced pen I have bought. I have also dealt with the company in asking for a new caption that they appear to be working on. And I will be using their pens from this point forward after that experience. They actually spoke with me and took what I said seriously. They now have a lifetime customer.

FALSE ADVERTISING: An Unfortunate "So Close to Great"
This pen claims to take Jetstream Refills, but this is not true without modification. I bought this pen solely for its ability to take Uni-Ball Jetstream refills, and I'm frustrated there isn't a better option out there at this price range. The pro's and con's match up very well with other Amazon reviews, with only a few things to add: CONS: -Pen's click mechanism rattles when tip is retracted (but not when extended) -Expected Problems: I fully expect to have issues with the plastic parts in the click mechanism at some point in the pen's lifetime -Needs modification to take Jetstream refills* (see note below) -There is "tip wiggle"; unavoidable in a design that takes multiple types of refills (unless you're a BigiDesign Ti Pen) -Metal scratching sound when using the clicker; clicker button feels wobbly and fragile (see: Expected Problems) PROS: -Looks good, feels sturdy, I'm not ashamed to hand it to someone -Takes Jetstream refills* (see note below) -I don't expect to have to replace the whole pen -Comes with extra pieces to assist in taking multiple types of refills -Customer Service has a good reputation, which is good since I expect to have to use them at least once to address the expected problems listed above NOTE about using Jetstream Refills: Using SXR-38 refills (or SXR-5, -7, -10), the tip STILL EXTENDS OUT OF THE NOSE WITH THE PEN RETRACTED. With the pen retracted, I can still draw with the pen perfectly vertical, which means it can still color the inside of my pocket. I had to cut off a small portion of the back of the refill to shorten it enough to solve this problem. SO MUCH FOR TAKING JETSTREAM REFILLS; FALSE ADVERTISING. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO ALTER REFILLS FOR THEM TO WORK I THIS PEN AS THE MANUFACTURER CLAIMS THEY DO.

Could be an excellent pen...
After seeing ads for this pen pop up all over my social media I decided to give it a shot as I needed a solid pen that I could use daily at work in the medical field. When I received the pen it looked great and was a nice weight. The rings around the body of the pen used to provide grip when holding the pen were well machined and nearly too square almost to the point of feeling "sharp". It handled well and the ink cartridge provided wrote smoothly and fluidly. After using it a short amount of time the clip became loose. I noticed the 2 small screws were loose causing the clip to move around. I attempted to tighten those and noticed that 1 was completely not catching any threads, the second seemed to "tighten" up as it should. This continued for a while until eventually around 3 months of using the pen daily and putting in into a chest pocket of a shirt the clip came off completely. This time neither screw would grab at all and were unable to be tightened. The thread on the screws appeared to be very shallow and nearly smooth, similarly the threads in the body of the pen were equally shallow. If the clip was attached in a better way that was a bit more durable this would be an excellent product due to the versatility of ink you can use as well as the quality of the Grafton branded cartridges. Had to give 2 stars due to the cost compared to the QC/durability issues I experienced.

A very nice pen that failed to fulfill its essential purpose
The good: Physically, this is a very nice pen. It is made almost entirely of aluminum, but remains a comfortable weight - neither too light nor too heavy. The color is a beautiful red and I did not see any imperfections or variations in the finish. The grooved section looks nice and perfectly hides the seam where the barrel separates. The less good: The internal parts of the click mechanism are made of plastic and feel fragile. Some dedicated pen reviewers have indicated that the plastic bent on their copies, leaving the clicker button crooked. The grooves added no grip unless I held the pen more tightly than normal and that made writing tiresome. The bad: The supplied ink cartridge arrived dry, so it failed to write out of the box. This shouldn't be a problem because it's refillable. Unfortunately, the 3-pack of Everyman blue refills that I ordered also arrived dry. Minus one star. The list of alternative refills is not good. Minus another star. The manufacturer says: "the Grafton Mini can take other refills (.38mm, .5mm, .7mm or 1.0mm), including Fisher Space, Rite in the Rain, and many more." and Reddit says that ISO 12757-1 (also called "Parker" or "G2", but not "Pilot G2") refills can be used by removing the plastic plug and inserting the plug from the Everyman refill. For my preferred refill (Schneider Gelion+), this did not work because the Everyman plug doesn't fit into the plastic tube of the refill. The plastic plug was not easily removed from a Schmidt easyFLOW 9000 refill and I was unwilling to risk damaging it for this experiment. All of this means that the practical refill options are the official Everyman cartridges or the Fisher Space Pen cartridge. I really dislike the Fisher refill, so wouldn't choose that. I also purchased an Everyman Grafton Full Click (which accepts an unaltered G2 refill) and its ink cartridge worked out of the box. It's terrible. It feels scratchy while writing (which I think should never be true for a 0.7mm tip) and if I leave it sitting for several minutes, it fails to start writing immediately without a scribble to get the ink flowing again. Based on this experience (with a different Everyman cartridge), I'm unwilling to give the OEM refill for the Mini Click another chance. My final verdict: If you like the Fisher Space Pen refill and want a nice pen body to use it in, the Everyman Grafton Mini Click could work for you. For anyone else (including myself), skip this pen and consider the Full Click instead because of its better refill support.

Very nice pen, highly recommend it
This is an awesome pen—I actually have three of them! I love that with a small mod, you can use ink refills from other pens, not just the Everyman ones. I personally prefer Sharpie S-Gel ink, and with a slight trim to the refill, it fits perfectly. The pen itself feels super solid and durable. The matte finish looks great and has held up really well—no scratches or fading, even on the two I've had for over two years. The only downside is the price—at around $50 each, it’s definitely a splurge for a pen. But if you’re into quality writing tools that last and feel great in the hand, it’s worth it.
