Heavy duty but lightweight, amazing tool gets the job done. Great craftsmanship and value. Unique design for long lasting use. Definitely recommending this product. Stiff to open at first but gets easier over time or what I did was open and close the pliers till I like the loosens

I had a black one before of the gerber diesel mulritool I cant find it and i really like the black one but no one had it at the time so I get this on

I've read all the negative reviews and I must say I disagree. this Gerber Diesel is pretty much the bee's knees! the only negative I have is the pliers are a bit stiff. perhaps they'll loosen up with use. other than that, the knife cuts, the saw saws, the file files, and the 2d Phillips works well in my testing. your mileage may vary. the sheath hugs tight to your hip, making it comfortable to carry. I can't find much to say other than the tools all work and work well. I have a collection of over 20 multitools from various brands and this one is up there in my top 3. if you don't mind inside opening tools, go ahead and pull the trigger on this one. it's pretty tough.

Ok, this bad boy arrived right on on time, but the packaging was all messed up. I sitting down, opening her up, the tool inside the sheath fell out and hit me in the nuts. I was not happy. Then I opened the sheath and started to examine this tool. I was skeptical of the quality of this multitool because the pliers were pretty loose when closed and the didnt lock in the closed position. This made me question whether or not to return this item. I continued inspect all of the tools and at that point I realised I never wanted to be without this thing. The knife was super sharp, the saw was pretty nifty, the screw drivers all worked great, the can and bottle openers did the job and when opened the pliers were actually pretty firm and strong. I even filed a rough metal edge to smooth perfection with the file. I love this tool. I will always have this on me. Maybe there are better multitools out there, but I love this one a whole lot! Its not perfect so I would recommend this only to real men who dont complain about every little thing.

This is a nice plier multi-tool. It's well built, with decent balance and size. It fits nice in the hands and gives you confidence that it's not going to break on you. I wouldn't suggest it as and EDC tool because it's a bit heavy, but it's good around the house, on a jobsite or in the truck.

My Gerber Diesel Multi-plier arrived today. This tool is super high quality. I first purchased a knockoff and now know it was a waste of money. The Gerber cost more but believe me, it is well worth it. Get one for your bug-out-bag, you will be happy with your purchase.

I had a work-supplied plain old Gerber multi-plier before this. I like the more substantial feel and the better selection of tools. As others have noted, the only thing missing is English and metric rulers on the handle. The tool as received is tight on opening and closing. Using it gradually loosens it up. No problem pulling out major tools, saw, scissors, knife, file but the small tools in the center, screwdrivers, etc., are a bear to get out. Keep your keys or pen handy until the tool loosens up. The add-on toolkit is great-comes with its own pouch and I think it was a Leatherman owner who was envious how well the adapter fit, with relatively little wiggle compared to his product.

Carried this everyday-since I got it-and used it almost everyday. The pliers are my almost everyday tool, and The Gerber pliers ease of deployment beat everybody else. I have several other Gerber multitools, including an old Military Provisional Tool, and The Diesel frame and tools are just heavier duty, made for that everyday use. The velcro flap on the sheath has very little stick left in it, but Gerber is sending me a new one under warranty. Guys, you can't beat that.
